Amazon.com sending video of orders being boxed
We might start getting video/pictures of our Amazon.com orders being packaged to show the items being shipped to us.

I wonder if they'll start using that if people say they got the wrong item and the video shows otherwise as a deterrent.

I'll have to save these, then put each one on a DVD and keep that with the ones I order after I get them.

This seems like a joke, and no way it could work. Is the boxer supposed to hold up your new shirt or whatever to the camera so you can verify it is the correct color? Generally the item (like a shirt) is already going to be folded up in a bag or something, and some dude quickly tosses it into a box for shipping. These guys move very fast, and the only thing the video would show was a blur of something going into a box.

Who says your package wasn't opened by the UPS driver or someone else downstream and contents changed or stolen well after this video was taken?

the real problem is the recording continues after you receive your package.. that way they can tell if the customer did anything wrong with it... what really sux is that it doesn't stop recording until long after you've used the product... just to see if the customer was the one who broke it.. not in shipping.. this might be interesting to see the travels of your package through usps or ups or fedex or whomever.. kinda like a hidden camera detective.

I remember seeing a television program about Amazon, and it showed them filling boxes. Basically, it was a bunch of boxes rolling down a conveyor belt while the items rolled down a chute into the boxes.
And then I knew that's why so many of the items I ordered from Amazon came in such shitty condition.

im actually impressed with the changes dominos made a short while ago. im still not a real fan or loyal customer, but the pizza is somewhat better imho. they seem to be trying, and that is usually good
why doesnt amazon scrap the video idea and copy the pizza tracker concept for shipping? that makes more sense to me. maybe just me though.

Re: Amazon.com sending video of orders being boxed
Now if Amazon would just ship my stuff in boxes instead of padded envelopes. My last 3 movies have been severely damaged because of those stupid things.
