I see that Crutchfield has the new Wegas in stock. Has anybody seen them? What do you think?

I just bought the KV-32FS16 Wega. Excellent picture, 16x9 Enhancement for DVDs, component video input, adjustable VSM, very nice menus, very heavy. I've had no problems with the set so far, and am very pleased (except with my new hernia).

I just purchased a sony 36"wegafv
last week, first of all it is heavy,
(236 lbs). I am very impressed, it has great picture and sound, especially when hooked up with a dvdp.

I bought the 27 inch PIP model and we love it. Got it from 800.com for $668.95 shipped. Took advantage of an 800.com coupon and BFL rebates for shipping and purchase.

I'm not as familiar with last year's models, but I do know the 27 inch PIP model went from about $950 to $700.

Beware that apparently all 2000 Wega PIP models will need an adjustment to the microprocessor. If you use the sleep timer, the TV will turn itself back on after 254 minutes.

I just got (after naitram recommended and explained it so nicely to me) the 32" sans PIP model .. and .. yes, it is heavy too. It is the most impressive TVset i ever owned .. I like it a lot ... although I still try to figure out all the bells and whistles that it has .... and i need to buy a stand and then have 4 strong guys coming over to lift it up there

note of taste, i wish the housing was black, not silver gray.

I got it for 849 +ship +tax from www.jandr.com (you have to call the 800# though)

Yes, by setting you DVD player to output 4:3 and not 16:9... but why would you want to?
