Could easily pick this one up with the movie money & the fact I do have the snapperific version of Insomnia and absolutely hate snappers.

Criterion should line up the original with this release.

Isn't there another older Nolan flick that Criterion was rumored to be working on? Or am I thinking of someone else.

Hmm... doesn't really seem Criterion-worthy, to me... not that that would be a first for them.

Yeah, it was one of the titles announced in IFC and Criterion's initial press release a while back. I'm really looking forward to it.

Good news about Insomnia!

Does anybody else find interesting the fact that they don't mention at all Robin Williams name in the press release? Even though he was absolutely amazing & bone chilling in his role.

I saw this in the theaters and remembered thinking it was markedly less interesting than the original. I'll pass.

I really enjoyed this remake, but the original is great. I'm hoping this will see the light of day on BD - so to speak. But this release sounds like a good catalog title we'll see in the $9.99 range, at which time I'll be picking it up.

It's funny, the picture of the cover on DVDActive still has DVD logos on the front and spine.

I dunno..that movie cash for Inception might make me bite if it's like...15.99 or something.

Re: Chris Nolan's Insomnia - July 13

This could have a list price of $24.99, which would make it about $17.49 on Amazon, assuming they discount it 30%. WB priced Poseidon the same way, so maybe that's a hint that their upcoming catalog will now have $24.99 pricing.

Re: Chris Nolan's Insomnia - July 13

Hrm...I'll bite at $17.49. I get the movie cash and just go on the Friday Inception is released so that I can use that full price admission for it instead of waiting for College Thursday. Also what with the rising of prices...

Will it be full price or up to a certain amount? For instance, the Nightmare on Elm Street BD had a free ticket for the remake up to $7.50 off admission...

ok..i forgot...everywhere the prices are different. At the Cinemark I go to full price is $6.50 (matinees at $5, 3D costs more etc etc). College Thursday makes it $3.50 for me. So....good question..but I think I should be safe either way.

Yeah, they're not giving much time before the movie opens...so we're kinda stuck with whatever release day prices are.

Another snapper bites the dust!
