The Office -- "Happy Hour" -- 03/25/10

The Office

Synopsis:

Spoiler:
The staffers raise spirits at a happy hour, but complications spill over when Michael goes to extremes to impress Jim and Pam's friend, resulting in his ouster from the bar. Meanwhile, Andy and Erin try to keep a secret; and Dwight reconsiders the wisdom of his "prenatal contract" with Angela.

Had some funny moments but I thought Michael was WAY over the top. Seemed out of character, even for him.

Just amazed that any woman would like the "date" Michael.

Andy and Erin are starting to get pretty cute.

Angela serving Dwight with the summons and her getting whacked was awesome.

Oscar comparing Stanley being able to do 25 push-ups to that of a mom lifting up a car to save her baby cracked me up

Loved the episode, but I've enjoyed most of the episodes the past few years.

What about Michael's behavior was over the top for him? Twirling a pool cue? Getting on the table? I thought he was pretty mild this episode.

Decent episode, especially for one out of the Office, which usually aren't as good.

Which ones out of the office aren't as good? I'm not trying to argue, I just can't think of many off the top of my head. The booze cruise and Jim and Pam's wedding were good.

The Dundies is also one of the best episodes ever, and it's outside of the office. I could think of a lot more if I took the time to do so.

Enjoyed this episode, knew it would be a good one as soon as Oscar started planning the happy hour.

Re: The Office -- "Happy Hour" -- 03/25/10

I thought it was a pretty funny episode, too. But it strains credibility that anyone would tolerate Michael's socially retarded behavior, let alone that any woman would remotely find it attractive. So the part about the bar manager being into Michael was completely ridiculous. The rest of the episode was pretty good, though.

BTW, Amy Pietz (played the bar manager) might be remembered from Caroline in the City as Lea Thompson's best friend in that show.

I thought Kevin ruled this one! Talking to the twins in front of Jim was awesome.

loved this episode! kevin was awesome in this episode, he had so many funny moments, everyone had some pretty good stuff, dwight and Angela had some awesome moments as well as andy and Erin. I liked how fast Micheal changed one he thought it was a date. and the bar manager he got was pretty hot. but a classic office episode, one with awkward moments that I have missed in the office.

awesome episode, kevin was amazing this episode, loved him behind erin and Andy lol

Second episode in a row that felt like a return to the heyday of Season Two and Three.

I agree, and I think that's a good thing. This episode fucking slayed me, from beginning to end. Absolutely hysterical.

I was really hoping to see Andy dance last night on the video game. His dancing always kills me.

Me too. I thought they'd do more with that. I loved the last part with Andy and Erin.

Andy: There was just too much drama. I hate drama.
Erin: You love drama.
Andy: I do.
