Stupid stupid move by Batiatus' wife. I had a feeling it wasn't going to be the girl though. The movements reminded me right away of the other chick.

I take it this is already available on streaming Netflix, as so many people have already seen it and it airs tonight?
I dropped Starz to get HBO for The Pacific, so I won't be seeing this live anymore, but I feel the switch was worth it.

I seen it weeks ago. Glad you all are catching up because like Axe pointed out this episode blew my mind.

Very good episode. Not surprising since it was written by Daniel Knauf, who created the fantastic Carnivale. The shot of her caved in face was brutal.
I will co-sign on the Mira hotness.

Great episode but as if she wouldn't notice the physique difference between Spartacus and Crixus
Whose was the head in the bag ? i didn't get that
Boy some of the women on this show have kickin bodies !
Great female nudity this ep

It's funny, when I think of an eventual situation, this show takes great pains to show it to me, it almost always goes down that dark path and never bats an eye at using violence to dominate.
Finally caught up with the last 4 episodes, and it's been quite a ride. I posted something on FB that some of the master/slave stuff mirrors employer/employee relationships quite well.
Ilithyia's comeuppance was finely choreographed by Lucretia.

That was set up during the marketplace scene between Solonius and Asher. Asher basically told Solonius that Batiatus was going to make an attempt on his life when he went to see his favorite prostitute, and to make sure that someone else was there when the assassin came. The head was that of the prostitute.
I had to rewatch that scene about three times to catch that, though, since both Solonius and Asher seemed to have caught a case of the mumbles during it.

Great episode!
But I agree with Original Desmond that the noblewoman should have been able to tell the difference between Spartacus and Crixus, even if she was drunk. Not to mention the fact that Crixus has a HUGE scar running diagonally down his chest while Spartacus doesn't.
And I know it won't happen because he's the "Iago" of the show, but someone needs to shove Asher off the cliff-face.

Wow. This series keeps getting better and better.
I can't stand Ashur and don't understand his motivations. Last episode he's loyal to his master, but then he rats him out because he wasn't allowed to train with the rest of the gladiators? WTF?
