Universal Monster Movies

I have the Dracula Legacy Collection and, of course, some of it has problems playing. I'd like a functioning version. So, does anyone know which versions I should get ? Dracula, Wolfman, Creature From The Black Lagoon, etc. I like the bonus sequels for the movies, but as far as I know, not all of the sequels are available on dvd. Specifically, the spanish version of Dracula as well as the Daughter of Dracula. I know a great Dracula anniversary set came out not too long ago, but does that have the sequels ?

Re: Universal Monster Movies

yes. the dracula version has all the sequels. I actually only bought it for George Melford's spanish version, which I think is infinitely better than Tod Browning's version. I believe the set has the 2 'main' Draculas, Dracula's daughter, Son of Dracula, and House of Dracula. Well worth it, in my opinion.

Re: Universal Monster Movies

The Legacy Collection has all the sequels. The 75th anniversary edition just has the first movie and the Spanish version.

Which movies won't play? Dracula is available seperately. The is a Dracula's Daughter/Son of Dracula double feature. The others you're stuck with a legacy set.

Re: Universal Monster Movies

It all depends on what player I play it on. For Frankenstein, is there a version that has the " I know what it's like to be GOD" line in it that had been censored ?

Pretty sure it's not censored on the Legacy Collection.

Just the VHS is censored and anytime it's aired on tv.

Re: Universal Monster Movies

Deep Discount just put some of the Legacy Collections on sale.

They are mixed in with the other movies so don't know if they are all there or not.
