Seems early for a non-elimination leg.

Tailor made leg for cops...eating and drinking.

Even as a non-cop, I would have been all over this one. I love saurkraut and beer.

I knew this would be non-elim when I saw teaming up.

Man I can't believe people like this show. I almost wish they were gone because they're the only reason I'm watching this show. It's soooo painful to watch, I end up skipping 80% of the show fast forwarding.

Wow, the teams almost completely flipped around this leg. I was glad to see the non-elimination if only because I hate it when a team gets eliminated almost entirely based upon their taxi driver. Well, that, and the fact that there are about 4 other teams WAY more annoying than Jeff and Jordan that I'd like to see gone first.

I don't think Jeff and Jordan's speed bump will amount to much as last year the speed bump was a 5-minute sauna. Plus, the previews showed
Spoiler:
that another team gets a u-turn, which will surely be harder than the speed bump.

I thought it was about time for one. Don't they usually have 3 per season? The previous season had one at the end of the first episode, after they eliminated one team in the first 10 minutes.

Because of the Oscars, this episode was off 2mil people from last week's total.

That's my main problem with Amazing Race... chance. It's too easy for the players to get screwed over by things that are 100% out of their control like stupid taxi drivers, car trouble, delayed flights, etc.

I would have enjoyed this leg.

Bungee.
Football.
Beer.

What was up with the people kicking - Joe with his knee or whatever, and then Caite?

but the players get to choose one of the taxis that drive by, choose the one car out of the 11(?), choose the flight they want to be on...

so it's not entirely 100% out of their control.

I'm sticking with this season more out of habit than anything else as outside of the cowboys none of these teams have any character. They couldn't have rounded up a more boring group if they had tried.

i dont mind this group. I do like Caitlin the miss teen usa. shes fun watching and shes pretty cute. The only ones I do hate on the race so far are Carol & Brandy. It was fun for a while watching the Cowboys kicking butt, they stayed ahead for a while. and as others have said before, you cant tell which is the gay one when it comes to Dan & Jordan. I think the straight one is hiding something.

'Amazing Race' Star Linked to Drug Investigation

Posted Mar 9th 2010 1:10PM by TMZ Staff

One of the Rhode Island police officers competing on the current season of "The Amazing Race" has been taken off the streets in the wake of an internal investigation into a major cop-operated cocaine ring.

According to the Rhode Island State Police, Louie Stravato has been put on "desk duty" -- after his name came up in a "four month" investigation into a "large-scale" cocaine distribution operation.

Three officers were arrested in a sting operation -- but Stravato was not among them.

According to law enforcement, Stravato was among 4 officers assigned to the desk work following the investigation. The RISP would not comment on the nature of Stravato's involvement in the case.

Calls to CBS were not returned.

But they chose which detour to do and switched because they couldn't finish the Sauerkraut. Picking detours is entirely within the team's control.

Wait -- he's an active-duty cop? The introductions in the first episode described them as undercover cops so I just assumed they were retired, since going on national TV and announcing you're an undercover cop is a really bad way to maintain your cover.
