Help with identifying a DVD/Film(Again!)

I am trying to search for the name of the film/DVD about a young couple that has their child stolen from them by a wild dog in the Australian outback I believe. They eventually blamed the parents for the child's disappearance if I remember correctly. I thought Meryl Streep was the actress in it but did a search on IMDB and could not locate it. Any help with this title would be greatly appreciated-

It's based on a true story, do a google search on "Lindy Chamberlain".

Never heard of this film outside of that Seinfeld bit, but looks worth adding to the rental queue at least.

You know that's a true story? Lady lost a kid. You're about to cross some smurfin' lines.

No, it really is. Haven't you heard of the whole "THE DINGOS ATE MY BABY!" thing?

Re: Help with identifying a DVD/Film(Again!)

It's not just that a dingo took (and ate) her baby, it was how she was treated by the Australian government.

Here's a good place to read about the story: http://www.trutv.com/library/crime/n...erlain1/1.html

and yes, in the Seinfeld episode Elaine was mimicking Meryl Streep (who played Lindy Chamberlain in the movie).

Don't forget the name of the band Oz was in on the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series. "Dingo Took My Baby" I believe they were called. Funny it's not listed in the references on IMDB.com.

I also remember ALF making a reference to the film in an episode, but can't find a citation on Google.
