I was in Sam's Club today - they DO have these on sale for $19.98 each, but they are half seasons (certainly for The Virginian)... so the complete season 1 and season 2 will cost $79.92 - at the moment this seems to be around the recommended retail price just for season 1 elsewhere.

Sorry, in rereading my post I was a bit vague.
SAMS has Virginian Season 1 parts 1 and 2 for $20 each.
Amazon has the complete season 1 in a tin for $72 on May 25.

Which state are you in? My Sams (KY) hasn't had new timeless releases lately. They never did have the Wagon Train tin last year. I had to get it at cduniverse.

I don't think the official release date for Sam's is until March 9, so maybe this Sam's put it out early. I know when I picked up the Wagon Train set the two Sam's in my area did not put it out on the same date.
Hopefully, they will still put it out at Costco as well, since that is what they advertised earlier that they would do for this release. With the Wagon Train set I ended up using a guest pass at Sam's to get it.
I'm also glad this release is not the Tin but standard DVD cases, since if the Tin is anything like the Wagon Train set the cardboard holders for the disks were a pain to deal with and caused scratching of the disks.

On all other occassions when a SAMS employee put out a release early they would catch it at the register and it wouldn't even let them ring it up.

I can confirm Sams has Season 1, Part 1 and 2 and Season 2, Part 1 and 2 of the Virginian. Although only Season 1 was announced. I just bought all 4 sets.

I've been back at least twice a week since 2-27 and still haven't seen season 2. However, Season 1 is available.
Maybe the season 2 release was a mistake.

Unfortunately there is only one Sams in my area. The next nearest is 120 miles away.
Everytime I go digging through the boxes under the counter within a few minutes an associate is on me like a fly on poop askin if they can help me.
They tell me everything under the counter is already pn display-------Absolutely not true!!! I've even shown them and they just give me the silent treatment.

One of the 4 Sams club I went to does it right everything under the case was not in box on the bottom shelf so you could see everything they have.
