Thank you, Shout! The Complete Larry Sanders Show and Max Headroom release 2010!

The thread about the glory days of TV on DVD being over prompted me to check the tvshowsondvd website. I was agreeing with the thought that the glory days are over, and maybe they are, but Shout! is giving TV on DVD a second wind.

Do we think that Shout! will get the rights to the "It's Not Just the Best of the Larry Sanders Show" extras? That boxing interview with Alec Baldwin is insane.

Great news on Larry Sanders. Shout! is the Criterion of the TV on DVD world.

Larry Sanders, Max Headroom, and Daria this year. If we get The Wonder Years, the world will be perfect.

Wonder how well Max Headroom holds up? I'll keep my eyes open for it's release, and that's a great point above about Shout! being the Criterion of TV on DVD.

I've seen a few episodes of Max Headroom recently, and it's held up wonderfully. Scary, in fact, how prescient it is re. today's 24/7 news cycle and plague of junk programming. Way ahead of its time in many ways; also funny and engaging. It's about time it came out on DVD. Been a good week for my TV on DVD wish list--both Max and Tales of the Gold Monkey!

I'm in for Larry Sanders, definitely.
I wonder if Shout! would be interested in Journeyman? Sigh...a man can only dream...

Can't wait to grab a hold of Max Headroom. The "Raking" episode was the coolest thing I ever saw on TV (Back in the day, of course)

I held off on buying the TV movie of Max Headroom from Japan because a buddy of mine said it would come out eventually in America if rights got released in Japan. Glad I waited. Not that there's anything wrong with imports, but to get it all in one set here is awesome. I've waited for this set nearly as long as I've been collecting DVD.
Larry Sanders is also a VERY WONDERFUL surprise. So delighted to get that!
AND THE NORM SHOW! Come on, now! Shout RULES!
I was quite surprised (and elated) when I saw email alerts about all three of these shows, because I signed up for alerts for each of them several years ago.

Now that WB has released their catalog TV shows to Shout, what else do you want to see? Personally, I am gunning for more Growing Pains. Not the greatest sit-com of all time, but one of my favorites from the 80s. It's been 4 years since we got season one, so it's time for this to get back on track.
I also wish they would do something with Too Close for Comfort and Get a Life. I am not sure if those are WB shows or not.

Awesome news.
Possibly stupid question, but I'll ask anyway...wasn't there a lot of music on the Larry Sanders shows (with guests performing on the show)? Think it'll all stay?

Woo! Larry Sanders Show. This release has had one foot in the grave for so long, I actually forgot about it.

I recall reading Garry Shandling post online he was working on material for season two (after the "best of" set came out) and I was holding out hope.
