Holy crap, that was some creepily accurate casting for J.J.'s father.
I love that someone finally asked Bill why he's being such a douchebag.

Best episode of the season. I Had an "Oh Shit!" moment when the Greens walked in. Didn't see that coming. Also, that scene with JJ and Nikki's mom was really creepy.

Another very good episode, and it was great that Barb finally called Bill out.
Nikki dressing like a slutty chick from the 80s at the wedding
I figured Dale was going to kill himself after the meeting in his church so that wasn't really a surprise.

Totally agree. Wonderful episode. Figured Dale was a goner, but totally didn't see the Greens coming, back to their old kidnapping ways. Loved Nikki's retro entrance, loved Barb's speech, loved Ana's revelation and how quick it prompted Barb to hire Sissy Spacek, even loved Bill showing the wives the house and articulating his vision for the first time. Really strong episode. Three to go this season -- looking forward to see what happens in this final trimester.

Recognized that chick as one of the Greens the second I saw her.
But yeah this was a great episode. Hopefully they can keep it the rest of the season now and make us all forget the lackluster start.

I couldn't remember who the woman was in the market. I knew I'd seen her before, but couldn't place her. Selma and Hollis walking in seriously gave me an "Oh, shit!" moment of fear. It was really well done.
That whole hotel bit for the sealings was just creepy from one end to the other. Ugh! I thought all along that Adaleen was biding her time with JJ and had something up her sleeve. I guess not...
I also figured Dale was a goner after he broke down like that and Laura went to his house.
Fantastic episode!

I think Dale's death will drive Albie over the edge...
I loved Barb kicking Bill's dick in over Ana getting knocked up before the marriage and how he's been more about "Bill" than the family; especially after Bill has been so self righteousness about others in similar situations. I guess I didn't know that Bill knocked up Margene out of wedlock.

Knew the chick in the market had to be a Greene.
What an episode.
I feel bad for Albie. He's been growing on me this season as he's developed. They are ratcheting it up now.
And the greenes have Ben! Fuck!
Glad Nikki showed up at the Sealing!

Yeah, I don't think it was any surprise about Dale at all. Still, I felt bad for him.
I loved Barb confronting Bill. Rarely do they delve into the jealousy that has to be natural to their situation. Barb has the emotional guidelines set up for other mothers and children, but wasn't having any of Bill having a relationship with her and the baby outside of her comfort zone.
No amount of real estate, as nice as it appears to be, is going convince me that most of Bill's motives aren't selfish. I'm so sick of the "I'm imperfect." speech. The wives are held to a much higher standard by him.
So when does Barb get completely tired and indulge herself with Tommy?
I need more than three more episodes!!!!!

Maybe you're right about Margene. I thought Barb said, "1st Margene and now Ana" and I was so happy about Barb giving Bill The bizness I took it as Margene got knocked up before they got married.

Nope, they never said Marge got knocked up, only that Bill "was tested and failed". Does that line ever work?
I was thinking about it : How would a state ban on gambling in ID have any negative effect on an Indian Casino on a reservation?

How many times are you allowed to fail a test before you're graded with a big, fat, F?!

LOVED it.
for Barb calling Bill out. Unfortunately the house/plan mentioned at the end may have suckered them in again.
Nikki slutting herself up She tried but is so out of touch with the latest fashions.
Great seeing the Green's back again.
JoDean's expressions are hilarious. She doesn't want to be there and hates being with the people she's with. I almost get the feeling by the time the show ends she'll be out of that cooky religion. She's becoming my favorite minor character in the show.
As mentioned, that motel scene was just creepy and so were Wanda's parents. It feels like I'm watching a freak-show half the time.
Mary Kay Place has a good body for a 63 year old. She looks at least 10 years younger than that.
The mexican bird dealer's (aka. Mexican Perez Hilton) lust for Ben was funny.
Less Sarah this episode ... but at least there's less Teenie.
Poor Albie.

That was great.
I agree completely. And then this is all about real estate?
I had totally forgotten about them.
What's the deal with the casino. I figured it was located in Nevada or Utah. Is it in Idaho? Because I wasn't understanding why Idaho passing a bill banning gambling/casinos would matter.

yeah i thought it was in Utah because Bill said he was expanding business by running ads in Idaho. But why would an Idaho bill banning casinos affect them??

Was I the only one who expected, as Mary Kay Place nervously undressed, a musical cue of Aretha Franklin's (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman to start playing? I was hoping J.J. would say something like "This bed's always been lucky for your daughter and me".

Actually, they've said previously that the casino isn't in Utah, but just over the border -- I assume it's in ID, maybe it's in WY. Still the casino is on soverign reservation land so I don't see what a state law would do to hurt things there.

OK - then that makes sense. And while I'm not up on the Indian casinos vis a vis the states - how that's regulated, I still think the states have some level of control on what is allowed. Otherwise, Indian casinos would probably pop up everywhere.
