if anyone picks these up today please report back on the quality...or if any reviews pop up on the net. my copies from amazon have yet to ship.

Yeah, Azon now says ships within 7-11 days. And I called Fry's, a no show. I wish I would have pre-ordered them for that price.

I just received shipment notification from Amazon for the three Shaw Bros. Blu-rays (Delightful Forest, Heroic Ones, Brothers Five). Looks like I'll be having a Shaw Bros. weekend!

Good news! Delightful Forest has choice of English or Mandarin language and choice of English or Chinese subtitles. I have not watched it through yet -- but the opening scene looked quite good to my eyes.

I watched it. I had never seen it before and I enjoyed the movie - the plot, characters, and the Morricone tracks that play throughout it were great. As for the quality -- most of the movie looked great, but there were some image flickers (don't know the proper term, but the image would jump and there may be a slight pop sound) and a couple of scenes seemed out of focus (not sure what would cause this or if it was my setup). I have not watched the other two movies yet -- so I cannot compare their quality.
Overall, I was pleased since the movie itself was enjoyable and the price point was low ($11.99) when I ordered it.

The Delightful Forest - Defective Blu-ray
It has come to our attention that The Delightful Forest blu-ray release, UPC 812491011126 is defective. The replicator has tracked this to a glass master problem and takes full responsibility for the subsequent QC issue. We apologize for the inconvience this may have caused you. Corrected discs are being replicated now and will be available next week.
INSTRUCTION FOR REPLACEMENT:
1.) Return to original point of purchase.
IF consumer is UNABLE to return to original point of purchase due to a sellers Return/Exchange Policy, then proceed to the following:
2.) Well Go USA will make replacement copies available to consumers who cannot return to original point of purchase. You can obtain a new copy by sending in your defective (disc and packaging) to the following:
