I have a Marantz SR8000 query:
My units gets pretty hot even after playing movies on vcr and 2 hrs of audio cds.
The back is totally open and there is 3" above it. There is very less space on the sides. I dont see thefans whirring or anything - please let me know if anything is wrong or this is normal.

Thanks in advance..... and please do reply!!!

I Have the HK avr7000 which is basically the same unit same parent company, mine does not have a fan either. It get very hot after an hour or so, I talked to HK and they said it is safe to let them get hot but I think I am going to put a small computer fan on the back of it to keep it at least a little bit cooler. But to answer your question it is very normal.
