Disc 2, episode 1 ("Customer Survey") my DVD player starts having a fit around the 7:54 minute mark. The picture goes all blocky with green artifacts everywhere. The picture gets all warped and you hear the audio repeating over and over. It can never get past this part and it ends up completely locking up the DVD player (can't go back to menu or anything).

So if you own The Office Season 5, could you check your disc at this part and see if it's working? My disc is in new condition. It went straight from the package to the DVD player. No fingerprints, smudges, dirt, or scratches anywhere. My player hasn't had any trouble with any of the other discs (or any of the other Office seasons, for that matter).

It's your set. Return it and get a new one. Mine plays fine.

It was a gift so I don't have a receipt. I think I may need to go through Universal and see if I can get a replacement disc.

Try a different player.

I had a similar problem with malcolm in the middle season 1. I ended up owning four different copies and everyone did that on a certain ep. I just got rid of it all together.

I had the same problem with Gilligan's Island Season two. Exchanged it several times, always did the same thing. Tried a different player and there was no problem.

Or just ask the person who gave it to you to exchange it for you... or get the receipt from them. Seems like a no-brainer solution to me.
