Edited stand up on comedy central, whats the point again?
Kay, they just aired the latest Chris Rock special, and probably half the special is bleeped out, as in addition to the usual words, can't say the n word, can't say pussy (tits and titties are ok), and mention semen and the words associated with it (theres a bit where he mentions that guys have 2 levels of cum "just because you came, does not mean you made him come" )and its all just a mess, and half the time, unless you've seen the special in its unedited form, you sometimes don't know what he says, since half of it bleeped out.
And yes i realize they've always aired stand up comedy, but when its someone like Chris Rock, and certain other comics, whats the point of re airing edited versions of their HBO counterpart. Also noticed that they have also been airing bob saget and jim norton's most recent specials, and can only imagine how badly they are edited.
Is there a market for these specials, i know they air some of them uncut at 1am.

Isn't this like asking what's the point of airing Pulp Fiction or Glen Gary, Glen Ross on TV, since they're edited and ADR'ed to hell?

They should dub PG words into Bob Saget's stand up like they do R rated movies on network tv. Lord knows it'll make me laugh more times then Saget's routine unedited.
