District B13, best version?

Big fan of this movie (err when i saw it in theaters anyways, haven't seen it since), but i know the current american dvd only has subtitles that are closed captioned only, i was wondering what version overseas is considered best? My guess is either the region 3 Thai version or the UK Region 2.

The UK Region 2 has a great number of extras, good picture and sound also.
The UK disc is very cheap, but if you're interested, there is the 2-pack with District 13 Ultimatum, and also the Bluray Region B.

i saw that the 2 disc set that also has the sequel is only about 13 bucks when converted on amazon, so that will prob be mine (and i was also thinking about seeing it in theaters as DC alot of times gets the Magnolia Pictures movies)

just purchased, came to 16 and change overall

I just watched my American DVD of this a couple days ago and there were regular English subtitles, not closed captioning. This DVD also has French DD 5.1 EX which is awesome. I love this movie and Pierre Morel is a master filmmaker when it comes to making short movies. Both B13 and Taken were 80-90 minute movies that felt like 30 minutes long. He's a master at pacing. I really hope he gets to do DUNE because the problem with Lynch's is that it feels long and boring. I hope Morel will "J.J. Abrams" that franchise up as well...

Re: District B13, best version?

I'm pissed off. I've been waiting for the sequel to come out on USA Region 1 DVD for a while now. I was holding off from buying the UK PAL DVD. So, I see that the USA DVD will take longer than expected, so I order the UK PAL dvd sequel. And then the next day, I see that it's playing on TIME WARNER HD-ON DEMAND for 10 bucks. I would have just rented it if I could have. So, I'm just going to wait til I receive my UK PAL dvd before I watch it. But I'm dying to see it and it's hard knowing that it's playing on TV.

For those interested in the blu ray of Ultimatum, Amazon.co.uk now has it for 10.11 GBP plus 3.08 VAT to bring it to just under $22 US shipped. Link here lists it for 11.88 GBP, but when you check out, it drops to 10.11. Per blu-ray.com's review, it is listed as Region B locked if that affects you.
