Just a heads up - CH is having a 3 for $60 Blu-Ray sale. Doesn't appear to be any shipping costs either. Can't enter a code with this though (at least I couldn't get it to work).

802367 (adds a free standard DVD for each blu) seems to work, though I haven't pulled the trigger yet as I'm waiting to see if both 9 and A Perfect Getaway show up tomorrow.

States that the sale is on til the 12th of January. Hurt Locker and Whip It looks to be part of the sale so I may bite on both of those since the odds that their going to be at least $19.99 in store's since the holiday season is over is next to none. Also, BR TV sets are 50% so I may bite on the first season of Fringe for $34.

Can anyone get Paranormal Activity BLU to show up as $20? That one doesn't work for me.

Would like to see 9 show up as well.........

Ah, I got the B1G1 to work as well now. Unfortunately I don't know that there's 3 regular dvds I even want to go along with the Blu's.

I'm in the same boat. I can't find enough dvds I want to meet my blu-ray demand.

I have two accounts, one has been fulfilled for while and had $40 in funcash that I have been waiting for a sale like this and forgot about. My other account I still had to fulfill so I used the sale along with the B1G1 code w/ free shipping and it worked fine. Picked up-
Account #1*for some reason the B1G1 code didn't work for this one*:
Fringe: The First Season BR
North By Northwest BR
Say Anything BR
How the West was Won BR
Totaled out at $94.98 before the funcash, after that it came out to $54.98

Account #2 with the code:
Moon BR
The Hurt Locker BR
Whip It BR
Night of the Creeps BR *was looking around and found it for $9.99*
Free DVDs:
The House that Dripped Blood
True Grit
El Dorado
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
Picked up the John Wayne dvds for my dad since he wanted some for Christmas and no one got him any. Second order came out to $69.99

Even though it clearly states that it is the Blu-ray in the product description, the cover art and list price is that of the SD version. Since this is the only version available, I imagine that it is indeed the SD version. I doubt that CH would stock the Blu-ray without also having the SD version available. Please keep us updated.

I emailed them about Night of the Creeps but haven't got an answer back. I ordered it anyways if it isn't the BR I have a friend that wanted it and won't care if it's the DVD version so we will see. I would think that if it's listed as the BR version they will honor it.

DonTHX1378 how did you get the funcash to apply to your order? I thought you couldn't use funcash on blu rays. It would amazing if I could use the $20 I have towards a blu ray.

I was also under the impression Funchash could not be applied to a blu-ray order.

He must have one very special account - never heard of it working, and just checked and still not working on mine.

So far identified that Paranormal Activity and Zombieland don't work. Also, It's A Wonderful Life and both Harry Potter Ultimate Editions don't work, supposedly marked as box sets.

He paid $69.99 for the order so he didn't use funcash on it. But from his first sentence it appears he intended to or thought funcash would work on it.

But, the 1490 code doesn't give you free S&H like the 2367 code does.

Free shipping was still available on my account without using any code. It's not on the banner, but it's burried in the fine print whan you click on the details link. So free shipping may still work on any code right now.

I cannot find any rhyme or reason to the titles they are allowing. I pre-ordered Black Dynamite (2/16) @ $20, but many titles that release sooner aren't coming up at $20.

DonTHX1378

It let me use the funcash with no problems at all on the first order with the first account. I've had problems in the past so far with the sale codes not working and I must have got lucky this time with the funcash code. I never knew that you couldn't use funcash on the BR's.

Just used 802367 and got:

Moon (BD) - $20.00
The Hurt Locker (BD) - $20.00
(500) Days of Summer (BD) - $20.00
Religulous (DVD) - FREE
Chaplin (DVD) - FREE
Life is Hot in Cracktown (DVD) - FREE

This is a decent deal if you get Blu-rays that will be higher than the $20.00 mark when they are released, plus the free shipping and free DVDs don't hurt either.

9 is now available and works, as well as Perfect Getaway.

Zombieland & Paranormal Activity still don't work.

i know this might be a stupid question, but i've been looking to fulfill my account for about 10 months now. if i use this deal (with the 3 free SD dvds), will it count toward the 2 dvd's i need to fulfill so i can cancel (it's a TV club account)? Sorry this is such a basic question, but i've been out of the loop for a long time.

Yes, it will count as long as the items are over $19.95 each.

This is an OK deal, but far from the best. To really make it a good deal, you have to really do some comparison shopping, to make sure that whatever BDs you get at $20 is a better buy than buying at "regular" CH price or elsewhere (Amazon, BB, Walmart, etc..).

I might be preaching to the choir, but the first rule is you NEVER EVER select any BDs that cost less than $20 on CH's website. Most wouldnt do it, but somebody reading this might. The next rule is really to only select movies regularly listed at $29.95 (and above) and then compare the retail price elsewhere to see if theyre being sold for under $20. There is no point in paying $20 for a film if Amazon is selling it for $16.99.

The last part is probably the hardest, especially if youre more interested in BDs than DVDs. If youre going to use the stack code to get 3 DVDs for free, you have to select films that you can either give away (or sell) or are not currently on BD. I'm not one to really try and flip movies I buy off any site, so I've actually bypassed adding the B1G1 stack code before since I cant really use DVDs, for the most part.

But, on this deal, I elected to buy the following movies, using the B1G1FS code:

Star Trek BD (priced at $19.99 on Amazon)
Inglorious Basterds BD (priced at $19.99 Amazon)
Public Enemies BD (priced at $19.99 on Amazon, although Amazon has since lowered the price to $16.99)
True Grit DVD
Magnificient Seven DVD
Cool Hand Luke DVD (will be a gift).

Although I kind of lost in the Public Enemies price after the fact, I consider this purchase a solid B. It's not the greatest deal I've gotten, but I felt like I maximized it to the best of my ability, considering I no longer order pre-orders from CH and made selections based on what I wanted at the best possible price.

If you partake in this deal, make sure you do the same.

Be careful with this.. It should, but it doesnt always work.

I've done a couple of code purchases on my TV account and the application towards my club commitment didnt always take, even after I earmarked it during checkout.

If it doesnt work, good luck with CH's customer service, since it's hit or miss you'll even talk to someone that fully understands the english language.

I agree, it is only a good deal if you are buying BDs with a CH price well over $20 (all mine are MSRP of $39.95/$34.95)............

To be honest, there are a few DVD titles I buy time/time again because they get me back about $14-$16 each after costs when reselling on other sites (I won't post title names because having 50 copies suddenly listed with mine will really hurt my return).................otherwise, there are really no DVDs I buy for myself anymore so once my ability to resale goes away, I won't be doing this deal anymore either. If nothing else, this latest holiday season shows that we really shouldn't buy any BD for over $15 unless it is a favorite we want right away.

It never was to my knowledge. It was only on certain titles. If you click on special features, there is an ad for the 3for$60. It is still there. A few more titles have been added.

I don't know if this will help anyone decide what titles they might want, but I now have a complete list of BDs in the dataminer database. If anyone is aware of any missing titles from the list, please let me know.

See the dataminer thread for more info. Happy shopping.

What I meant by "site-wide" is that it would still work when another offer code was put in. I had 3 titles in my cart & they showed @ $20ea. When I put one of the b#g# codes in, they reverted to regular price. I didn't try any on a "list" in either respect - just figured that they didn't work anymore.

Appears that 2012 & Hurt Locker (and maybe others?) are now part of 3for$60 BR special.

edited to add:

Well, that doesn't appear to be the case all of the time. In my DVD account, it works. In my TV account it doesn't. Go figure.
