Three star films with five star replay value
I was thinking about how many of the films I absolutely love are (of course) five star films in my mind, but I might watch them once or twice a year. I need to make a point of sitting down, putting it on and relaxing for a couple of hours.
But then there are certain films that I consider to be three star quality or less. These are movies that I have almost never made a point of sitting down to watch, yet anytime they're on I can't for the life of me change the channel. I've seen them dozens of times, sometimes more than my favorites. There's just something about them that keeps me glued in every time.
Bloodsport is such a film. That movie was on cable on a seemingly endless loop when I was a kid, and I don't think I ever came across it and didn't watch it. Sure, it's FAR from a great film, but I could watch it over and over.
What low-tier flicks keep you glued no matter what?

Almost any '80s Golan-Globus produced, Chuck Norris movie.
DELTA FORCE, INVASION USA, LONE WOLF MCQUADE, the MISSING IN ACTION trilogy, THE OCTAGON, and CODE OF SILENCE... all awesomeness.

I feel the same way about Bloodsport.
Also, whenever I channel surf, I may stumble across the The Negotiator on TNT. I always end up watching it to the end for some reason.

Lethal Weapon and Die Hard. Both solid thrillers that I only watch around Christmas.
Oh, and who can forget 80s stuff such as Rocky IV and Transformers:The Movie (1986)?

I think it's because a lot of "three star movies" are lighter and less affective, thus having more replay value. It might also have to do with knowing you are watching a film that was simply made (aside from making money) to entertain, and wasn't made for awards consideration.

My favorite Golan-Globus movie is still Detective School Dropouts. I think it's only been released on DVD in Italy. I could not stop renting that film when I was younger.

Superman III and IV (though many would consider them 1 or 2 star movies).
Just about any of the classic middle tier '80s comedies, like Just One of the Guys, Can't Buy Me Love, Real Genius, Summer Rental, Better Off Dead, etc.
