Amazon uk and prime?

I'm a Prime member here in the states, and was wondering if I ordered some dvds from the amazon uk store, will I get a discount or something for being a prime member?

Re: Amazon uk and prime?

Nope....I currently have a Prime (free trial) membership, and there was no discount or faster shipping option when I recently placed an order at Amazon UK....

Re: Amazon uk and prime?

Nah, I've been a prime member for years and it only works on the US site unfortunately.

Prime is only for the US site unfortunately. No additional benefits on any of the other sites.

I wish. I'd be all over a UK Prime Membership. Even though I try to combine orders whenever possible, I still spend a small fortune on shipping every year.

The shipping is high, but it is incredible how fast I receive stuff from the UK. They usually ship the next day, then it is 2 days until it hits my front door.

Re: Amazon uk and prime?

Has anyone ordered from Amazon.uk recently? I placed an order a couple weeks ago and it hasn't arrived. They used to arrive quicker than Amazon.com orders (w/o Prime of course). It shipped on 12/16, so I'm just wondering what people's average time from ship to delivery has been recently. Thanks

...figured I'd just post in an existing thread, rather than start a new one.

Re: Amazon uk and prime?

I actually had something take 2 1/2 weeks to show up when it normally takes 2-3 days. Give it a little more time, they will take care of you if you don't get it.

They had a big postal strike in the UK.

2 1/2 weeks? Okay, that makes me feel better. I'm really looking forward to that Haneke boxset and I'm getting impatient.

Re: Amazon uk and prime?

On my second order from Amazon UK (love the quick dispatching) and seem to come within a week of being shipped. No problems so far.

Re: Amazon uk and prime?

Arrived today. The box was beaten up, but everything inside was mint. So, the shipping actually wasn't that bad after you take into account the holidays. Roughly 2 weeks. I'm happy, I guess I was just spoiled by my first few orders with them.

Re: Amazon uk and prime?

I order the Ultimate Bourne BD set on 12/29, and got the "dispatched" email on the 30th. The discs arrived Tuesday, that's 6 days from the UK to SC, the fastest it's ever been.

And at $30.88 shipped, the deal for the Bourne's on Blu can't be beat.

Used to get stuff within a week from the UK, but my last order took over three weeks.
