I mean just in general. Is Polk Audio a good choice for sound quality? I have never bought speakers before and I am looking at some decently-priced Polks for my system. Do any of you have them?
PS: Just for reference, the models I am looking at are RT35 for the fronts, RT25 for the rear, CS300 for the center, and PSW120 as the subwoofer. Thanks.

Although I am probably not telling you anything that you don't already know...It all depends on how the speakers sound to your own ear.
I suggest having a listen to the Polks in whatever setup you intend to use them (HT/music or both). Bring along some CDs/DVDs that you listen to/watch and see how they sound. Take some time with them. A good sales associate will leave you alone while you test them out.
Also, look around your local area and try and listen to some speakers that aren't in huge retail chains. Check out Paradigms, Energy, B&W, PSB, etc. To locate dealers contact their respective websites.
The smaller stores usually let you take your time with speakers and there service is exceedingly better than the big retail chains.
I hope I was of some help.

Well, I have a polk audio HT setup: rt-800 fronts,rt f/x 500 rears, cs-400 center and a velodyne sub. My opinion might be a bit bias but I love my current setup.
If your planning to purchase polks at least listen to them in a showroom with a demo dvds/audio cds so you can see how they sound to "you". I suggest looking and audition comparable speakers(infinity, jbl, polks,b&w,paradigm just to name a few) in your local stereo store and see for yourself.
Also, check Audioreview (http://www.audioreview.com) for consumer base reviews.

Here is the problem with Pols. They always seem to sound good initially, very crisp. But after extended listening they tend to sound un-natural. Just my 2 cents.
