Simple question. Did you buy or are you planning to buy Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2?

I voted yes, but only because it's extremely cheap for me and i'm buying a copy for a friend.

I wouldn't have bought it for $60 and never got in to the first one (made me dizzy for some reason).

Nope. Never got into the FPS war themed games, played through the original MW and thought it was kinda eh. I also don't play any games like this online, so I'm sure I would be missing out on most of the experience.

Yes, although I prefer to be called a pre-next-gen gamer.

So if you own a Wii, are you now officially considered a last-gen gamer?

BTW : Got Hardened 360 version. Love me some CoD on XBLA.

360 and PS3 are next-gen, so current gen must be Xbox, PS2, and Gamecube. I don't think this game is available on those platforms.

Yes. It is the greatest game of all-time til the next one. It has 3 full games in one.

I'll probably get it when it's $30 or less. I didn't get into the last one too much.

Probably not right now. I don't know anyone who is going to play on PS3 and I gave my 360 to my brother for an extended loan. Maybe when I get it back from him.

Can you elaborate on 3 full games? All single player?

Of course. Games like this are pretty much the sole reason I even own a 360. Plus all of my online chums will be playing this pretty much exclusively for the next five months or so so I would be on my own if I decided to skip it.

Re: If you're a current-gen gamer, did you buy Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2?

Nope. And no plans on getting either. I don't like FPS games, or how they have corrupted otherwise worthwhile RPGs like Fallout 3 and Mass Effect.

Plus with Rock Band DLC, GTA IV: Gay Tony, upcoming Assassin's Creed 2, and maybe picking up DJ Hero and Dragon Age in the near future, I got more than enough to play as it is.

Bought it, will beat it (on Vet), then sell it within 30 days to recoup most of my money back. The perfect popcorn game.

I voted yes, since I do plan to buy it, but with Dragon Age and Assassin's Creed 2 on my plate, I probably won't pick it up for at least a month.

Re: If you're a current-gen gamer, did you buy Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2?

Nope. Still trying to play Bioshock and then a stack of already unplayed games after that.

CoD gets a big "meh" from me.

This. My first 360 title was Rainbow 6:Vegas. COD: MW is my all-time favorite game.

Will pick this up just before Thanksgiving weekend. Don't have my boy those days and have four days off, so going to get a ton of hours in. Can't wait.

Re: If you're a current-gen gamer, did you buy Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2?

Nope. I have said in the past that i don't like FPS, but after playing and loving Bioshock, HalfLife, Fallout 3 and Borderlands, I realize I don't like competitive PVP FPSes, which was a great deal of the appeal of CoD4. I did eventually get CoD 4, played the single player (which was very powerful), and quickly resold it for about the same as I paid for it. If I hear the SP of CoDMW2 is similar, I'll probably do the same. But this is a "price drop" title for me, simply because I won't take advantage of 80% of the game.
