These sets were on sale for a great price at Target this week and it appears Amazon.com has matched Target's prices. It's possible there are some other deals from this price-match, but the ones in the title have received the most interest in the Target ad thread (http://forum.dvdtalk.com/dvd-bargains/563904-target-media-prices-november-1-7-2009-a.html) this week.

Thanks, OP!

doh! Tragically, only the 'head' version of the Simpsons: Season 12 is on sale. Oddly, the regular version was on sale at Target's website while the 'head' version wasn't. Well, here's a chance to save a few pennies until it goes on sale again...

Target has an exclusive with Family Guy for those that would rather get something extra.

Thanks in for both. Not really concerned with Family Guy slipcover as 1-6 are in the big Stewie head.

Sweet! The head-shaped packaging is what I want. I'm taking my non-head-shaped Simpsons Season 12 I paid twice as much for back to Wal-mart. (Glad I didn't open it.)

They changed the packaging for Vol.7. They come in keepcases now. Read more here (http://forum.dvdtalk.com/dvd-talk-covers-cases-inserts/555524-fox-tv-gets-smaller.html).

Is this version on sale for $12.99 though? The picture in the ad is that of the regular version.

The Targets in my area have no slipcases and the Target exclusive is long gone also.

Snagged 24s 6 and 7. It appears I can finally catch up and start viewing this series on television again.

Surprised nobody has picked up on this yet, but both Head and non head versions for both seasons 11 and 12 are essentially one and the same. The head portion is merely glued onto the regular box. It is EASILY removed, without any problems if you want it to be the reg. style.

My target was sold out of 24, and Family guy, they subbed in Leverage Season 1 for $8.66 (This sold out too), and something else. Manager told me to pick 2 TV sets around $29.99 and they would discount them the same..all i could find worth getting at that point was ace of cakes season 2 & 3 for $5.60 each.

BUT, if you can find leverage season 1 for $8.66 its a total steal.

Wow! THANK YOU!

Went to target (just to get an ad for 24 S7), skidaddled over to Best buy, matched it at 12.99 (Target was sold out anyhow). Only a few copies left. used my $5 gift certificate and walked away paying $8.61 for an entire season!!

That was FUN!!

Thanks for the tip!!

Target also has the Dead Like Me seasons 1 and 2 for $12.99 each. I've been wanting to get this show for the longest time, and time was today! It looks like they're re-releases with different artwork.

The manager just told you to pick 2 random boxsets and he'd put 'em on sale for you? I have never heard of a manager anywhere doing something like this. to you for getting a great deal.

Yeah, i wasnt pitchin a b*tch or anything, he just said they couldnt be more than 29.99 per, and not on sale already, so that really screwed the selection right away, hence the ace of cakes.

If you go to target watch for the substitution signs, im not sure what store is doing what but the other target by me did have leverage for 8.66, they had 1 left-

Wow I would love to get Leverage. Been looking for a deal on that since it came out as the wife and I really like this show. Been looking for a deal on this and Castle S1 as well.

Wish that had happened to me, LOL.

I received my order from Amazon yesterday. Family Guy came with the slipcase but 24 did not.

At least the 24 case art is the same as the art on the slipcase. Family Guy is completely different as doesn't look that good without the slipcase.
