It's been ages since the KissMex3 reissue and I haven't heard anything since then. I don't really care about WMS, BF, and the last two albums getting remasteres, as they sound great as is. But Disintegration and Wish are in DIRE need of a remaster/reissue. So what's the deal?

Actually it was just confirmed about 2 or 3 weeks ago that a remastered Disintegration will be out sometime in spring 2010 :)

But WTF @ the forum being closed? Any explanation for this? And where is a good place to discuss the band these days?

You think The Cure and 4:13 Dream sound great?
Disintegration and Wish sound really good cranked up on a good stereo. Try that with the last two albums.

I agree with 4:13 sounding horrible, but I was under the impression that it was supposed to sound rawer and less polished/produced

Well in all honesty I've only listened to it a couple times, and was so dissapointed with the content I didn't pay too much attention to the SQ hehe. Really couldn't care less whether the last two albums were remastered or not, as they do nothing for me. I wouldn't disagree though....pretty much all of todays CDs are poorly mastered as a result of the "loudness wars".

A Chain of Flowers (http://craigjparker.blogspot.com/) is always the place to go for anything and everything Cure related.

Yeah, I've been to ACOF before but after looking around, it appears there isn't a forum there either.

4:13 Dream sounds horrible.Very disappointing, especially from a band whose albums used to have notes saying "THIS ALBUM WAS MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD, SO TURN IT UP!"
