Hello everyone,

I was asked to poll SteelBook™ members for feedback on the possible release of a Michael Jackson, This is it Blu-ray SteelBook™.
The artwork would be the same as the regular release.

All comments are welcome.

I chose "depends on the price"...as I am not a packaging collector and price is the biggest factor when it comes to most of my purchases....

I certainly would.

Would also love to see his previous televised live performances and complete videos collection on Blu-ray.

Nope, because why? Million of fans will collect them and then sold out in minute. So I would have to say no to that.

Zero value in this documentary other than to capitalize on his death. Put in a gold case and I still wouldn't buy it.

Now a steelbook of all his videos with remastered picture and sound.....

No way I'll be wasting my hard earned money on this.

I would probably buy it if the price were decent. I'd be more inclined to buy the COMPLETE collection of MJ's videos... INCLUDING "The Making of Thriller."

Absolutely.

Only if sold in the US though.

I really don't want it.

I would have to see what kind of collectible bust Best Buy offers, as well as how much the corresponding Sideshow collectible gift card amount would be.

Only then, would I consider.

The problem I see with your poll is there are those voting "No" that don't intend to buy this regardless if it is Steelbook or not. This poll really should be for those that plan on buying this title.

Also, I thought posts about I hate this movie or Michael Jackson were not allowed by the forum rules? Maybe a moderator could weigh in.

I don't collect carpet bagging movies about child molesters. So no. :)

More about the fact that this film was haphazardly thrown together for the only reason to make cash than anything though.

I love Michael Jackson, but I wouldn't pay more than $10 including tax and shipping for this.

I love to see 1 limit per customer when it opened @ Future Shop. Imagine there are 1800 copies made.

HA got to love that comment about wanting to see a limit of one from the person who buys up every copy of every steelbook he can to turn around a flip for a profit lol

Given that the majority in this forum voted "No" on your poll, will you still provide this poll to the ones that asked you?

Also, I thought posts about I hate this movie or Michael Jackson were not allowed by the forum rules? Maybe a moderator could weigh in.If the thread was called "Show your love for Michael Jackson", I could see how saying negative things about him would be a threadcrap. But this is a "Will you buy this?" thread, so we have every right to say, "No!" and explain why not.

Yes, retailers always accept consumer's comments, regardless of how bad the review/comment may be.

This poll was also posted on a few other SteelBook™ forums and there is a huge difference in opinions from site to site.

I don't pay more for packaging. Just don't see the point.

That said, I was never going to buy this. I might take a peek if it shows up on cable just out of curiosity. I would possibly rent a Blu Ray of his videos or a concert from his prime, but this release just reeks of necrophilia.

The name of this movie, the huge surge in demand for his albums, the inevitable remasters, the stories and tributes... are almost enough to make me consider the kooky theories about him doing this whole thing as a stunt. You have to admit, it would NOT be out of character for him. If next year, he comes out of hiding with a new album and concert tour "Back from the Dead" and explains his fake death as "the ultimate performance art piece from the King of Pop", I honestly wouldn't even blink with surprise.
