I've recently been looking at upgrading my old Sony HTIB to something a little nicer. After a fair amount of research, I settled on Pioneer's VSX-1019AH-K and the Energy Take Classic system. I ordered the Classic system for $350 from an online retailer and they called yesterday to say they were out of stock and most likely wouldn't be getting any more in. They offered to send Energy's RC-Micro system in its place for no additional charge, which is a nice deal price-wise. Of what I've found online, most sources have nice things to say about the RC-Micro's performance, but I figured I'd check to see what people here thought. My living room's only about 12' x 16', so I'm guessing the smaller speakers will do the job. Would anyone strongly advise against letting them change my order?

Here is a review of them from Home Theater magazine (I remembered reading one awhile back).
I have not heard them myself, however.

Max you might want to ask this in AVS,you'll get a better response.

Thanks for the heads up. There's a whole thread on Energy over there with quite a bit of talk on the RC-Micros. Think I'm going to go with them, as they sound like a pretty good system for the $400 I was looking to spend. Though someone over there pointed out some RC-Minis are clearanced from $220 to $90 at vanns and I'm kind of tempted to do that.

I just took advantage of the blow out prices you can find on Energy speakers. I picked up 2 pair of c-200s and a c-c50 center for $370 total (I had a sub already). One c-200 had a bad tweeter out of the box (a new tweeter is on the way). This is my first experience with Energy. After a few hours of listening I'd say they sound good, but I'm not blown away like a lot of AVS Forum people are. But for this price I'm not complaining.

Where did you find these blow out prices? Vanns is the only place that I've seen with any kind of reasonble prices on Energy speakers.
