Can anyone recommend me some cool songs featuring the ukulele?
I'm looking for something more in the pop rock category, since I've already own a few compliations from hawaiian artists, but all suggestions are welcomed

Thanks in advance.

Sir Paul plays "Something" on Ukulele:
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/7fCrkB2kxzc&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/7fCrkB2kxzc&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Of course, this is the all-time greatest English language ukulele recording, but I'm sure you have it already:
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/0ltAGuuru7Q&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/0ltAGuuru7Q&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Also, I'm sure if you're from HI, you have a lot of Jake Shimabukuro's stuff, but he is a remarkable talent:
<object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/0gaWuadgL3g&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/0gaWuadgL3g&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/P5d80mqGQLE&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/P5d80mqGQLE&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

And one more Jake song in honor of Halloween week:

Coverville is a great podcast, I've been listening to it since the spring.

I'll have to go back and pick up this show, it was just before I started listening.

Here's another good music podcast: The Sounds in My Head (http://www.thesoundsinmyhead.com/)

on the March 30, 2009 show, there is a band called "Dent May & His Magnificent Ukulele" - maybe it features the ukulele?

BTW, the Concert for George has a great version of "Something" that begins with Paul McCartney on ukulele (George loved the ukulele).

I saw that, but that's Coachella. The CFG version had Eric Clapton too.

My favorite ukelele track is by the Who. Actually it's Pete Townshend. It's on The Who By Numbers.

Thanks for all the replies, I enjoyed that coverville podcast, and some of those YT links were cool as well, even though I've seen a few of then before.
Btw have anybody else noticed we had a ukulele revival in the past year or so? A lot of cover versions are popping up on YT, also some bands on the "indie" scene have been using this little instrument for a while now... I gotta say, I kinda like it.

Isn't there ukulele on "Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head"?

Jason Mraz's hit single "I'm Yours" sure sounds like it's on ukulele, though he's playing an acoustic guitar on the video.

I don't know if anyone mentioned it yet, but Israel Kamakawiwo'ole doing somewhere over the rainbow/what a wonderful world from the Finding Forester soundtrack features a ukulele and is great.
