I hope she comes back for another episode before the show's over. I like Natalie quite a bit, but I've also really missed Sharona.

I'm really glad that Sharona returned, as this is the final season.

We'll probably see her again in the finale, since she killed Trudy.

I remember when Sharona left, and nobody thought the show could continue. It turned out Natalie was a lot better (but unfortunately, the writing and mysteries have since gone downhill).

I'm not sure why they dressed her like Peg Bundy, though.

She gained a little weight but it looked like she was wearing the same size clothes. I just think she could've worn stuff that flattered her more. I don't mean the style so much as the sizes.

Too bad they didn't bring back one of the 14 different actors who played Benji -- I would have liked to see Benji and Julie compare notes.

I'm pretty sure only two actors portrayed Benjy: One during the pilot and seasons 2 and 3; and the other during season 1.

It was nice seeing Sharona again, but the episode was pretty weak, unfortunately.

Ah -- I hadn't realized the kid from the pilot was the same as the kid from seasons 2 and 3. I thought there were 3 different Benjy actors. But 14 is funnier than 3, so I went with 14.

Still -- a Benjy/Julie scene could have been fun.

I did chuckle at your hyperbole (though I'm not sure why, given that I knew that only two actors portrayed him).

When I first looked at the episode list on wikipedia a couple of months ago, "Mr. Monk and Sharona" was listed as episode 14. I noticed the change about three weeks ago. I wonder if the contributor was mistaken, or if plans changed; if it's the latter, I wonder if the change was made in stride (i.e. during production of the season) or if they simply shuffled the order.

Now that we've had Natalie and Sharona side-by-side in the same episode, I can't believe I missed Sharona when she first left.

Agreed. I liked having her back though, since it helps to bring closure to the show. She'll probably be back for the last episode of the series (although I have no idea when that is), since she said that she would be back in a few weeks. I would imagine the series will end with her and Randy riding off in the sunset.

Nice to see her back for sure, though I didn't really buy into the whole thing with Randy being completely enamored with her. I don't remember that that much from when she was on, but I could just be forgetting.

Mine is also. Mine was actually who got me started watching the show. I made her watch Psych.

I haven't seen the program in a few seasons, so perhaps Natalie has changed, but I always felt Sharona wiped the floor with Natalie. Seeing how, you know, Sharona actually had a personality and all.

Her personality was exactly the problem - she was too grating and overbearing. I also thought that I would miss her, but Natalie is definitely the better of his two assistants.

I'll take "grating and overbearing" on a TV show over someone completely bereft of a personality. Natalie wasn't terrible or anything, she just never made any of the scenes better that she was in. Sharona managed to do just that several times. I plan on continuing the series soon so we'll see how the more recent Natalie stacks up now.
