Amazon.com has landed another exclusive Blu-ray release, this time it’s Aeon Flux: The Complete Animated Collection. The release will come to Blu-ray on November 23rd according to the current Amazon.com listing.
Tech specs and bonus features are unknown at the moment, but I would expect it to feature the same content as the previous DVD release. The collection is currently available for pre-order for 29.99.

I did get the exclusive Music CD with purchase so maybe that;ll up its resell value a bit.

I went to look at the DVD set after seeing this post and saw that folks were complaining that they altered 70% of the dialogue in a certain episode. I wonder if the Blu-Rays will include the original broadcast version.

It was the first episode and the replaced a characters dialog with re-written/redone set. I think the reason was they initially rushed that episode and Peter Chung was not happy with the result so he had a chance to now redo it. Personally, I owned the VHS and 1 disc DVD and the redone dialogue was not a big deal.

From a IMDB poster:
First of all, the revisions were from Peter Chung, not MTV. Second, as stated on the insert in the box set the revisions were made to create continuity. Third, if you look at the actual scripts from the original and then compare them with the revisions, you'll notice that there isn't THAT much difference and that the affected dialogue really does make more sense now. Also, since they actually got the original voice actors to come in and re-record the affected parts, it doesn't make sense that they would be making undesirable changes.

I'm just pointing it out so the information is in this thread. I've never seen any "Aeon Flux" nor am I pointing the finger at anyone. I just noticed several people who were very unhappy about it.

Having seen the original incarnation of the show (before the tinkering), I can say most won't even notice or in my case care.
This is the perfect show for a Blu release...hopefully Paramount adds in a lossless track, because if there is one thing that really got an over haul with the DVD was the audio.
I will be getting this, pending reviews.
