FOX Pulls 'Til Death for Sweeps

Why don't they just cancel the thing already?

FOX PULLS "'TIL DEATH" FOR NOVEMBER SWEEPS
UNDATED (AP) -- Brad Garrett says he needs "to be cheered up." He says Fox again has pulled his show, "'Til Death" starting in November. Tonight's episode and next week's still are on the schedule. On his Twitter page, Garrett adds the show isn't canceled but he doesn't know, if or when, it will return. He says "if you remember, Fox pulled "Til Death' from the schedule last year before the November sweeps too." Garrett says "a lot of cool people were going to appear" like Richard Lewis, Kevin Nealon, Barry Bostwick and Clarence Clemons.

This shit is still on? I tried watching it the first season, and thought it was terrible. Now Finch isnt on it anymore, right?

The first season was pretty good, the second okay, the latter 2 seasons it became painful to watch...

Correct, and it actually got worse after the neighbors disappeared.

Re: FOX Pulls 'Til Death for Sweeps

I really liked Brad Garrett on Raymond and wanted to like Til Death but it jumped the shark for me on day 1. It just seemed like an average plot with below average comedy. I think my wife and I watched the first 2 or 3 episodes and deleted it from the Tivo.

This show is horrible but for some reason I still watch it. I Tivo is and when I get bored I'll put one on, it's good for a couple of laughs. Had one a couple of weeks ago that was pretty much an exact rip off of a King of Queens episode.

Re: FOX Pulls 'Til Death for Sweeps

Brad Garret saying he needs to be cheered up because the show is being pulled for sweeps is a joke. He should thank his lucky stars this show is still even on the air. How the show has lasted this long is beyond me. The show was alright when the neighbors were on it, but once they left the show went down hill. The addition of J.B. Smoove as a "little brother" was funny, but they didn't need to add him to the cast permanently (and I really like J.B. Smoove). Either way, this has to be the last season; I can't see it hanging on for a 5th season.

Re: FOX Pulls 'Til Death for Sweeps

I know I'm probably the only person that watches this show but it's soo bad I can't stop.

They air the shows in such random order that the characters and story lines change dramatically from week to week. Some times Kevin Nealon is the neighbor, other time Eddie's former student is the principle, sometimes Kenny is there more often then not he's not. I don't even want to get started on the daughter, they've had 4 or 5 at this point with one uglier then the previous.

I'm not even sure how Fox can be getting enough money to air this show.

I stopped watching this show religiously after they dumped the neighbors and added Smoove (Kat Foster was the best thing about the show), but lately have caught it a few times here and there. I thought maybe they decided to make it a running gag where they have a different daughter every episode.

They sort of did with the one last night. The son in law thinks he's in a sitcom. The previous 3 changes they never addressed.

The 'sitcom' stuff with Tim Sharpp is pure gold.

Like so many other I had no idea this was still on the air. Then again I haven't watched anything on Fox for quite a while.

Its on because Sony essentially gave the 4th season to Fox for free (syndication reasons). It's been randomly airing for the past 2 years.

They've burned off almost a season's worth already this season, airing episodes 16 and 17 last night.

These have to be from different productions seasons though right? As I said they don't flow at all.

They honestly think that this will last more than a year in syndication? This shows has been an epic fail since they destressed the neighbors and brought in the black guy. Finch and Anthony Anderson were pretty solid as the "buddy(ies)" so I don't know why they had to retool.

My wife and I really like this show. It's mindless fun, with some good "picking on your spouse" jokes that remind us of each other. It's not high brow, but it's a fun way to spend 22 minutes.

If Yes, Dear can survive for years in syndication I don't see why this can't.

I think they are on actress #3 playing their daughter now.

They hit #4 last night but that one might just have been for storyline purposes.

That was just for laughs. The 'real' Aly is a season regular.
