I read Casey Burchby's DVD review of Star Trek: The Next Generation Motion Picture Collection at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=38928 and...for me, the biggest mis-step with "Nemesis" is the complete lack of mention of Lore, Data's evil older brother from the TV series. It was well established by the show, in several story arc episodes, that Lore was Data's predecessor but had a malevolent intellect that forced his dismantlement. Not even a mention of Lore when B4 was discovered was certainly a huge problem for other NextGen fans, not just me!

I think this recap of Star Trek: Nemesis (or as I call it, "To Baldly Go Where No Man Has Gone B4") is absolutely hilarious: http://www.stardestroyer.net/Nemesis/Pictorial-1.html

My alternate script for Nemesis
LaForge: Sir, we've assembled all the parts and it looks like Data...and just like Lore, his psychopathic brother who's tried to kill us all multiple times
Picard: Very well, chuck it into the nearest supernova, then join us on Holodeck 3 for margaritas and live-action Clue.
