Monty Python's Meaning of Life question
Something I've always wondered since I first saw Meaning of Life when I was a kid... at the end of the film when Graham Chapman sings Christmas in Heaven... is he supposed to be someone specific? It seems like such a specific character/impression but I still have no idea if he's supposed to be an actual person or just a generic lounge singer.
Anyone know?

Re: Monty Python's Meaning of Life question
I've heard Tony Bennett's name thrown about before, but I think it's more of general parody of the swarmy Vegas-style lounge singer.

Re: Monty Python's Meaning of Life question
I always assumed it was a Tony Bennett, but could just be kind of a parody of him/Wayne Newton/etc...
Wasn't alive when the film was released originally so I don't know who was popular around that time they may have been mocking.
