This doesn't seem that different than our version of The Price is Right. Maybe a bit more reserved, but the British are typically that way.

I remember seeing The Price is Right in Colombia. There's roughly a 1000:1 to 2000:1 exchange rate (over the past 15+ years), so the initial prizes were like a wooden boat or an alarm clock radio. Of course you had to guess if it was worth 10,000 pesos or 30,000.

This version has since been cancelled, iirc.
I don't know why people put Drew down constantly... he's got his own style and the show is getting better every day. (and yes, I watch and DVR it every day... I'm the oldest 25-year-old I know, lol)
That's a strange accent. Cockney and he has a really high pitch. He sounds like a British grandmother more than anything.
EDIT: HE SOUNDS LIKE MS. DOUBTFIRE. I'm not even kidding.
