Universal Home Video has announced 1-disc DVD ($29.98), 2-disc DVD ($34.98) and 2-disc Blu-ray ($36.98) releases of Public Enemies for the 8th December. All 3 versions will include a commentary with Director Michael Mann, and a Larger Than Life: Adversaries featurette. The 2-disc editions will also include 5 featurettes ("Michael Mann: Making Public Enemies", "On Dilliger's Trail: The Real Locations", "Larger Than Life: Adversaries", "Criminal Technology", "Last of the Legendary Outlaws"), and a digital copy of the film. Universal hasn't revealed the package artwork yet I'm afraid, but we'll bring you that shortly. Stay tuned.
No artwork as of yet, but odds are it'll likely feature Depp and a Tommy gun.

Well, considering the movie was pretty bad, and the camera work was terrible, pass. Did you know that "Dexter" is shot with the same kind of camera (Sony F23) as this film? The sad part is Dexter looks pretty good, where as this is shit.

I didn;t like the camera shots during the biggest action scene. Other than that I really liked the movie. I'll be picking it up.

I thought it was another good addition to Mann's work, albeit a little more run of the mill from a guy that's mastered the cop and robbers genre. The DTS track on this sould sound damn nice. Looking forward to picking this up.

I would be on the line with getting this but since I have a pretty nice extra part in it I want it as soon as possible. I'm not a big fan of Mann but he is the only director I've ever had. :)
How come Britain is getting it November 2?
It's Universal and I think their blu-rays are generally region free. If so I will get it from Amazon UK.

I never caught this in theaters, and I've heard mixed things about the film. I don't like the "look" of the film that I glimpsed from trailers, so I don't think I'll blind buy this unless I find it for a really good price.
High remarks on the film and the Bluray. This is the UK disc they are reviewing, but looking at the audio and subtitle options, it will be exactly the same disc released next month in the US.
