That's the same price at Wally-World (aka-Wal-Mart) so there are two to choose from for the sweet deal.

Speaking of cheap, you can get UP for free by pre-ordering at $7.50 (you can still return your "deposit" later if you don't like the price)...........

About when should I go back if I want to return my deposit? When my BB sells out of the pre-orders? Or when Up is released next month?

Do you just go back and say you changed your mind, or wait til it comes out and say someone else got it for you?

Re: some cheap steelbooks at bestbuy.com

The packaging definitely says the Steelbook is "FREE" for making a deposit on UP. In theory, you should always be able to return your deposit. At a minimum, the packaging says you can only redeem your pre-order for a few weeks after release and then MUST go to get a refund.

I did it this week for Snow White due to the much better Amazon deal. I will now wait and see who has the best UP deal.............never hurts to try if you know you won't buy from them.

Walk through this with me.

1. preorder steelbook for $7.50
2. pick up movie (best buy returns the steelbook and applies that to the movie)
3. Return movie
4. Keep steelbook

Is that it? They won't ask for the steel book? It's on my receipt won't they ask for the preorder item if you return the movie?

Re: some cheap steelbooks at bestbuy.com

Yup tanman, that is how it works. You can even read the fine print on the insert attached to the back of the steelbook (it is wrapped in plastic, so take a look in store before you buy if you like). My receipt for Snow White didn't even say anything about the steelbook, so even if they didn't know the fine print allowing you to keep it, they would never know to ask in the first place.

In fact, if you read the Snow White threads, most people actually had pretty good success with coming in with their pre-order receipt and still getting BB to price match other stores and accept a manufacturer coupon.

This is a new thing for BB, so I guess they won't allow this loophole forever but it is good for now.
