In my league with ridiculous scoring bonuses - Maclin and Roddy put up 110 on me. My whole team has 130

9.1 points down, but I have Washington/Garcon/Clark/Vinatieri going against just Ronnie Brown.

BravesMG
10-11-09, 06:33 PM
Prater does seem to be better from 45-50 than he does 35-45, but that could be my rationalizing that I hope he fucks this up.

BravesMG
10-11-09, 06:41 PM
They really didn't.Defense showed up and basically took Moss away and pressured Brady most of the day.

They did enough on offense to stay close and used Mareno well. Great might be an overstatement, but playing the Pats in a big game like that they showed they can hang with the contenders.

I'm not saying Denver didn't play well, but I watched this whole game and I don't see how one can say they played great. Their offense didn't do much most of the game until the long drive in the 4th quarter. I think they are capable of playing much better.

Put it this way - I consider myself lucky to win my Denver bet.

BravesMG
10-11-09, 06:45 PM
Either McDaniels is an elusive little guy or Belichick really didn't want to give that handshakeI don't think there's anything to read into that at all. Belicheck was looking all over midfield for McDaniels and they missed each other, but from everything I've read and heard they're still on great terms and likely know the handshake doesn't mean much to them.

SpaceBoy
10-11-09, 06:45 PM
Yeah, cause only pats fans care about the OT rules...

Anti-Pat fans are the best, such a bunch of babies I wish I had nothing better to do then root against a team other then the one I followed.

Belichick looked to me like he went way out of his way, esp compared to norm circumstances. Looks like Mcdaniels just was to busy celebrating with the fans etc. and good for him.

I gotta laugh that the Pats are the first to get another scheme rolled out on them, the were the first to receive the wildcat crap, and then the wild horses.. Sure Belichick was a bit po'd about that actually ha.

It's not a Pats thing....I'm sick of every time there is an OT score on the first drive and people complain. Play some fucking D and you wouldn't have an issue. Denver got 3 or 4 first downs. It wasn't like they hit one big play and that decided it.

Red Dog

BravesMG

When I first saw the line for Indy tonight it was -4 and I jumped on it so quickly I could have broken my mouse. If they don't cover that tonight I'll be stunned.

The problem is that everyone and their mother is on Indy - something like 75%. That scares me. There's also little line movement which is bizarre.

BravesMG
10-11-09, 07:17 PM
There's also little line movement which is bizarre.I checked yesterday and saw that as well, don't understand it at all. Then again, there's no way in hell I would bet Tenn tonight, smart money be damned.

Frustrating fantasy week in the making. Down big going into tonight with Manning and Bironas playing. Making the big comeback, then TN passes up on another 40+ yard FG followed up by Wayne's dropped TD pass. :(

Luckily, Romo came through for me today.

Killed it with he, Peterson, Marshall, and Mendenhall scoring touchdowns.

Cleveland winning with 3 completions out of 17 passes -ohbfrank-
...with one of those completions being to the other team :)

Final line: 2/17, 23yds, 1.4yds/attempt, 1INT
This is the guy who won the job by "only" throwing 3 INT's in one half, right? But I hear he looked good on 3rd down!

The reporters in Cleveland should ask "Mangenious" again about the Browns situation at QB. During the week leading up to yesterday's game, he told reporters that the Browns were set at QB with Anderson at the helm.

I would love to see him say that again today.

This is the first Jets game I've seen this season and I truly don't understand all of this Sanchez hype. He looks average at best.

wmansir

He was overhyped the first couple of weeks, but for a rookie starter average isn't that bad.

Good Lord, Braylon. Sick, sick, sick.

Deftones
10-12-09, 09:59 PM
so apparently edwards learned how to catch or something.

Deftones
10-12-09, 10:02 PM
that was one of the more stupid challenges i've seen lately. unless they didn't think he was in bounds when he caught that, it wasn't worth risking a challenge and time out.

Daryl
10-12-09, 10:05 PM
that challenge took me from a win to still losing as I am using Sanchez as bye week filler in one league. Thought I would at least get a QB sneak TD. I hope Miami scores.

edit: nevermind. Without the TD, but with the yards, I'm up by half a point. Now just no INTs or fumbles or bullshit kneel downs at the end.

Red Dog
10-13-09, 07:54 AM
I didn't watch any of this until the 4th quarter started. Worked out perfectly.

Anyhow, that game-winning drive was fucking awesome. So rarely see 4th quarter drives like that nowadays. There were a couple big 3rd down completions by Henne, but the Dolphins basically said we're going Cat and running the ball down your throat - try and stop us. The O-line completely dominated that drive.

And Ryan was a fool for not using timeouts in the final 2 minutes to prevent the Fins from milking the clock down.

Braylon Edwards certainly is the most hated man in Cleveland after that performance.
