DD - Fox/MGM Classic Horror DVDs 2/$10

Looks like it might include all of the Midnight Movies selections plus a few other titles.

Based on the pre-sale prices on the sale titles I have in my wishlist the "regular" price on all of these has gone up from $6.75/$6.80 to $8.99 for the sale but even then at $5/each it comes out to ~$.10 less per title than waiting for a 25% off sale.

Re: DD - Fox/MGM Classic Horror DVDs 2/$10

I am thinking about making a fairly large order as I have never ordered any of these. Can anyone tell me if I should steer clear of any of these.
Attack of the Puppet People/Village of the Giants
Die Monster Die/The Dunwich Horror
Empire of the Ants/Tentacles
The Fall of the House of Usher/The Pit and the Pendulum
Invasion of the Star Creatures/Invasion of the Bee Girls
The Masque of the Red Death/Premature Burial
The Land That Time Forgot/The People That Time Forgot
The Phantom From 10,000 Leagues/The Beast With 1,000,000 Eyes
Panic in Year Zero/Last Man on Earth
Voodoo Island/Four Skulls of Jonathan Drake
Yongary, Monster From The Deep/Konga
War-Gods of the Deep/At the Earth's Core

Edit: Also of note is that if something is not in stock it doesnt look like it is applying the coupon and you pay full price.

And I will definately be picking up the Vincent Price set.

Re: DD - Fox/MGM Classic Horror DVDs 2/$10

Looks like my plan to someday own all of the Midnite Movies titles will happen faster than I thought.

Was hoping to spend $30 a year and gradually buy them all, not a couple hundred bucks all at once though....

I think there are a couple of the single features that went OOP and were not reissued as part of a double feature. Do you already have those? Maybe someone could post a list of the OOP ones.

I wasn't a big fan of the Invasion of the Star Creatures/ Invasion of the Bee Girls and The Phantom From 10,000 Leagues/The Beast With 1,000,000 Eyes films.

scream and scream again and oblong box aren't in the Vincent Price set so you might want to pick that one up as well.

Most of the OOP single-title discs on that link have been showing up lately at some BigLots stores for $3. I don't know if it's old stock or they are back in production, though.

And things are starting to go out of stock. There is another double feature I want... just can't find something to go with it.

Thanks for the link! It looks like the only one I'm missing is Angry Red Planet (I don't actually consider the 2 pirate double features to be part of the line up even though they were packaged as MM).

A few of the in stock titles aren't giving the discount for me, I'll try again tomorrow.

the Abominable Dr. Phibes/Dr. Phibes Rises Again combo is very necessary. Love those movies.

And there's currently a MM pirate film double-feature in the new stock. I'm sure most of these will eventually show up there, but I'm not complaining at $2.50 per movie.

Re: DD - Fox/MGM Classic Horror DVDs 2/$10

Oldies.com currently has some great deals on a lot of the Midnite Movies, with many as low as $2.98. I ordered several of them a couple of days ago, along with some other DVDs, and just got an e-mail that my order has shipped.

Oldies.com has "The Angry Red Planet" for $6.98. They also have a *few* of the double features for prices as low as $2.98 (one of which is "The Oblong Box / Scream and Scream Again"). Big problem with them is the $3.95 minumum shipping for orders under $75. BUT... even if that's the only title you order it's still less expensive than the cheapest amazon marketplace vendor after shipping.

I would have ordered "Oblong box/Scream..." from them but even with a few other $2.98 titles shipping pretty much killed it considering that's the only one I really wanted. DD really wound up cheaper simply because I wasn't picking up other titles just to reduce the average shipping cost. I picked up other titles I also really wanted.

Re: DD - Fox/MGM Classic Horror DVDs 2/$10

BTW, aside from the aforementioned Midnite Movies, here's what I ordered from Oldies.com:

The Dead Zone: The Complete 5th Season $3.98*
The Outer Limits: The New Series - Death & Beyond Collection $2.98
The Outer Limits: The New Series - Mutation & Transformation Collection $2.98

*(I don't even have Seasons 1-4, but I couldn't pass up that price)
