In the first clip, we heard twice that SNL's portrayal of Obama's positions "couldn't have been more wrong," and in the Palin clip we hear "I don't know if that's art imitating life or life imitating art! HAHAHA!"
(On a non-partisan note, holding Will Ferrell's GW Bush as the gold standard, this guy's physical and vocal impersonation of Obama is one of the worst in the history of SNL.)

The opposite in that SNL did an accurate portrayal of Sarah Palin? Sure, I guess CNN should have criticized them for portraying Governor Palin inaccurately, but there's a necessary precondition that's missing.

I agree, except I thought Chase's Ford impersonation was pretty lazy and poor as well.

And then I later read that Ford was a star college football player, and maybe one of the best athletes of any President? So the constant clumsy pratfalls by Chase were not that accurate. Nope, to me, Ferrell's Bush was about as perfect as an impersonation can get, although I also give Norm McDonald high marks for his Bob Dole. :lol:

What you failed to show was a CNN segment where Blitzer took SNL to task for their inaccurate portrayal of Palin. There were numerous Palin-related sketches on SNL, all of which were satire, all but one were factually incorrect. SNL does one skit lampooning Obama in a negative way and CNN is all over it.
I hoped that you would be able to see the difference.

Really? No love for Darrell Hammond? His Clinton still sets the standard for presidential impersonations on SNL for me. He nailed all of the little mannerisms and quirks that Bill had perfectly.
