The Best Horror Deaths.

I'm trying to compile a list of the best death scenes from horror films, and to be honest, the classy gents & dames here have forgotten more about horror than I'll never know. This won't necessarily be the "best horror films" list, but simply a compendium of the choicest cuts, devoid of context or atmosphere. And, of course, "horror" is subjective. What, pray tell, is your favorite death sequence from a horror film?

In the interest of courtesy, I'd spoiler-text any major moments (but still name the film, of course).

One of mine to get the ball rolling...

The Silence of the Lambs
Spoiler:
The wounded guard gets off his stretcher, removes the skin from his face, revealing Hannibal Lecter underneath, who promptly kills the man riding in the ambulance with him

Re: The Best Horror Deaths.

while I fumbled to think of so many in films and I can think of A LOT but this one came first and this one I think could beat mostly any of them,

Zombie - "eye" enough said!

For those who have YouTube blocked, please provide a brief text description of the scenes to keep the discussion going.

The highway pileup in Final Destination 2 kicks all kinds of ass.
I guess it's a death scene

This one would never make it on youtube: The unrated tent scene from Jason Goes to Hell - attractive naked lass doing the 'cowboy' with her gent,
Spoiler:
suddenly gets speared through the stomach by a fence post or something, and summarily split up in two
... good stuff.

Man, this thread just got really creepy what with the "missing" posts and all...are we now posting in some sort of DVDTalk spirit world that exists between life and death.

Beginning with scott1598's post and following, I can only read them if I'm posting a reply to this thread.

MODERATORS LET ME OUT! LET ME OUT, LET ME OUT! IF YOU LOVE ME, LET ME OUT!
Crap, now I'm really screwed.

I blame Chmiel, he's from Sin City and he has three 6's in his post count.

I get it, this is some sort of DVDTalk purgatory. I'll do the necessary...forgive me Father for I have sinned, I've had numerous impure thoughts about Maria Ozawa (aka O-wowza!) these last few days. But I have made two posts in Book Talk today...that counts for something, right?

Chmiel,

Unspoilerize your Final Destination 2 clip in post #15 and I think the rest of the thread will open up...
