"Old Cap"
Taking an animal with a long neck, especially one pointing up, was incredibly stupid.
Lance is such a meathead. I was waiting for him to punch one of those guys at the puppet show. "WHERE'S THE CLUE!?"
Though if I had to listen to Keri's voice I'd probably be in a bad mood all the time as well.

I was so pulling for Lance and Keri to get eliminated. Sadly, the old couple spoiled my hopes. They seemed to just be in such a easygoing, non-competitive mood.
But I was amused by Lance banging the crap out of the VCRs. Reminded me of a little baby with one of those toys where they try and push a square peg through a circle hole.

Unfortunately, it was pretty obvious who when home when early in the episode they showed that Marcy had red eyes in her post leg confessional.

Disappointed Lance hasn't gone yet!
Globetrotters ran a solid leg today, no errors.
I was surprised it took Marcy that long to figure out the word jumble, or to get someone to help them as it looked fairly quick, however having said that the animal one also seemed pretty fast.

What impressed me about the Globetrotters tonight was that they didn't rush when they didn't need to; some teams never learn that lesson. Also, it was effective strategy to piggyback onto another team when you know that you can beat them (or at least her) in a foot race.

Mika and Canaan dancing in front of the puppet dragons was kinda funny.

Pretty uneventful episode. The Globetrotters are a likeable team - calm, friendly, etc.

I'm surprised the Father and Son mentioned they were running out of cash so soon in the race. The Vietnamese currency (The Dong) is pretty crappy, so I wonder how expensive that 2 hour cab ride to Ho Chi Minh was.
Yeah it was a fun, but uneventful episode. The Globetrotters are pretty cool. I also like the blonde coupe that finished 2nd...they have a very good attitude.
Lance and Keri are another example of Ugly Americans traveling abroad.

My wife said "The Globetrotters work so well together and communicate"
Well, duh! They are raised on a lifetime of team sports and probably spend 50+ hours a week practicing together

I hate the wheelie suitcases the poker players have. I don't know who is who yet, but one of them did nothing in the challenge with the animals.

The wheelie suitcases are the worst decision maybe ever on the race

Glad it isn't just me who thought that. They remind me of people who waste hours upon hours filling up planners, to the point they do nothing else...people hooked on gadgets for gadgets' sake. Good grief, how is dragging those things around third world muddy roads better than a backback? Just like their stupid lie that was bound to be exposed and backfire, they are so busy acting smart that they are incredibly dumb.

That was hilarious. She did nothing but walk in front, carrying her suitcase and the balloons, while the other one struggled with the animal to the point of exhaustion. Then they get to the roadblock, and she tells her that she can't do it because she isn't good with tools (or electronics, or whatever). She was completely "along for the ride" on this leg.

That was Maria, the asian girl. I can't believe her partner didn't bitch about it.

I'm glad that the geezers got eliminated early -- not because they were bad people, but because I get weary of week after week of "We're just here to prove that old people can ride in airplanes and taxicabs too!"

to be fair, the wheelie suitcase seem to be able to covert to a backpack as she was wearing at on the pit stop on the boat. Still, the handle adds some weight and decreases the amount of overall storage space. Decent episode but it was totally clear who was coming in last based on the teary confessionals.
Edit to add: They probably think they will never beat most of the other teams in a foot race to the finish line so way bother lugging the backpack around when you can wheel it.
