Transformers 3{2011}
http://www.superherohype.com/news/tr...ws.php?id=8173
Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks Pictures have set a July 1, 2011 release date for Transformers 3, but the studios have cautioned to Variety that the dating of the third installment isn't an official announcement that the project is going forward; rather that the studios wanted to plan a stake in the date.
Transformers opened July 2, 2007; Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen debuts on June 24, 2009.
So far, Transformers 3 has no direct competition in its July 1, 2011 date.
Paramount also has moved up the release of Marvel Studios' Thor from June 17, 2011 to May 20, 2011. This move sets the release for Thor just two weeks after Spider-Man 4 opens on May 6, 2011.

Quite honestly, I hope it flops. Yeah, the TV Spot was really cool, but it just looks like another typical action movie.

Why? A crossover happened in the comics. Lennox in Transformers is a Joe from one of the G.I. Joe/Transformers comics. I think it's fair to say the writers were preparing to leave the door open for this.
It could be fun so I'd definitely want to see a crossover.

Another typical action movie??? And were you expecting some David Mamet dialogue or something? It's Michael Bay + CG Robots....what do you think? Part 2 is gonna make a shit load of money, the DVD's and Blu Rays will make a shit load of money and the toys and Part 3 will probably do the same.

Re: Transformers 3{2011}
I knew Spider-Man encountered the Transformers since they used to inhabit the same universe/continuity as the Marvel characters but I was not aware of a battle between the Avengers and the Autobots.
That would make for a great Marvel animated film. Or in a geek-perfect world that would be the sequel to the Avengers movie.
So any idea who are the Transformers being nuked in the background?
