Friday the 13th Question
Friday the 13th Question... Is the difference between the "Alternate Version" and the "True Rated Version"? Just a different cut? And they are both different from the "Uncut Version" version I'm guessing.
I also see there is an "Edited" and a "Rated" version of the other 7 Friday The 13ths. Also different cuts? Or just strange wording on DVDAF?

Re: Friday the 13th Question
There is deleted and unrated footage scattered throughout F13 DVD releases, but only JGTH, the original and the remake are actually uncut on DVD. But, I'm not quite sure exactly what you're referring to.

Re: Friday the 13th Question
DVDAF Friday The 13th Listing
On DVDAF it states Friday The 13th the 1999 release as "Alternate Version" and the 2004 box set release as "True Rated Version".
And then it seams to list the other 7 from the box set as "Rated" but the 1999 through 2003 single releases as "Edited".

Re: Friday the 13th Question
From what I have been able to Google it seams that the 1999 release was edited from the uncut film to look as closely to the rated version as possible but it features some longer and shorter deaths. And the 2004 release in the box set is apparently the actually true rated version. So I guess I have that one figured out. The other 7 I am assuming are the same. Just submitters labeled some as "Edited" and some as "Rated".

Re: Friday the 13th Question
the 99 Friday the 13th has a few uncut deaths (mainly the pickaxe to the noggin, and the throat slitting) and everything else is the R rated verison, and the 2004 version is the original release
