Whuh? 5-disc edition of Brain Damage on 11/24?

So I'm casually browsing the list of Synapse titles at CD Universe, and I come across this: http://www.cduniverse.com/productinf...49&style=movie Barely any info, except:

List Price: $99.95 (You save $35.05)
Studio: Synapse Films
Orig Year: 1988
Discs: 5
Release Date: Nov 24, 2009
Additional Info: Widescreen; With CD
I tried finding more info on the web, but nothing. Not listed on the Synapse web site. Google didn't pull up any webzine articles or forum posts. The only other page I found pertaining to this was an even less-detailed entry at Borders: http://www.borders.com/online/store/...u=654930310595

So, has anyone heard anything about this? What in god's name could bulk this up to Blade Runner proportions? The only low-budget cult film I can think of with a 5-disc release is Subversive Cinema's Dust Devil, but it also showcases several of Richard Stanley's feature-length documentaries (and the retail price was a lot cheaper).

Nice find! I've been wanting a 5-disc set of this for awhile, now.

So there have actually been talks of one in the making?

I wish I found some of those in my frustrating Google searches, haha. Instead the results are either pertaining to the Brain Damage DVD company's cheapo box set or those non-official Pink Floyd DVDs with "Brain Damage" (one of my favorite songs, btw) as a track.

So, I shall leave it to someone else to gather more info on this upcoming DVD set of the Henenlotter film. I'm all googled out.

I googled the UPC number & looked for shopping options. It's actually showing up as the Pinky Violence Collection on Amazon, DeepDiscount etc.
Barnes & Noble also says Pinky Violence but it's showing a picture of Brain Damage on their site.

Thanks for looking it up.

Well, it appears that retailers appear to have their Synapses firing in the wrong direction.

Depends if Quentin Tarantino & Eli Roth join up for multiple audio commentaries. (could you imagine Tarantino in the same commentary as Henenlotter?)

I highly doubt this since the rights lapsed with Synapse. But I'd love to see this on BD.

I am hoping this becomes a reality...I am getting tired of all those 3-disc barebone editions.

I got confused and thought you were talking about Peter Jackson's Brain Dead - that I could see as a 5-disc set - Brain Damage, not so much.

Good news; it's down to $71.65. Bad news; it's still not Brain Damage.
