Watching Ghaddafiiy's speech, I actually agree with him. We should move the UN to the other side of the world and do away with the Security Council. I guarantee, within five years no one will pay attention to it anymore. Awesome idea, Khadaffi!

I was amazed how cooperative he was during the Bush Administration. I think that after we invaded Iraq, he may have figured he should watch himself. Or maybe he was just tired. But for whatever reason, he was out of the picture.

He challenges the delegates in the Hall to give him any reason why the African Union does not deserve a seat. No one is brave enough to take up the challenge. I can think of one possible reason, though. The current head of the African Union is... Muammar Gaddafi.

But the notion that nations are created equal is pure unadulterated horesehockey. Giving equal power to Iran, Zimbabwe, North Korea, and Venezuela only makes sense if your goal is to make sure the US and EU never listen to the UN again.

Yes, there were a few times when Qaddafi referred to Obama as "our son" and "my son". The explanation is that Qaddafi as the president of the African Union looks at Obama as a "son" because Obama's father was born in Kenya.

The UN was very polite to Obama.. Applauding at times. Someone shouted "You Rye!" at some point. Not sure what that was about.

Nothing to worry about here----I'm sure he said that because deep down he really wishes the best for America, and wants the US to continue to be a strong, prosperous country that takes a leading role in the world----and he knows that Obama is the best person for that job. :lol:
