Sideways - Rex Pickett

Bought all three at Half Price Books a couple of weeks ago. Already finished Jones and started Sideways tonight.

I bought:

Born to Run: A Hidden Tribe, Superathletes, and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen
Under the Loving Care of the Fatherly Leader: North Korea and the Kim Dynasty
Factory Girls: From Village to City in a Changing China
Lords of Finance: The Bankers Who Broke the World

Finished Run and Lords and got through about 15% of Loving Care: the book is not exactly a breezy read. Working on Factory Girls now, will probably finish it within the week, if that.

I bought Blood Meridian (Cormac McCarthy) as a birthday present to myself today. Can't wait, I hear it's one of the greatest novels on the 20th century...also reading it because of the film adaptation coming out in 2011.

Wednesday night, I bought Between the Bridge and the River by Craig Ferguson and Second Acts: Presidential Lives and Legacies After the White House by Mark K. Updegrove. I bought both at Half Price Books. I just polished off Ferguson's memoir, American on Purpose, and was excited to track down his novel. I learned about Second Acts in a podcast episode of Things You Missed in History Class from HowStuffWorks.com and, given my fascination with the U.S. presidency, it seemed a good fit for my library.
