The reason the price keeps changing is because none of them are actually sold by amazon, they are listed by 3rd party sellers. So once one sells, the next one takes its place at the top of the list. And it was .05 just now.

I bought cables (audio) and an ipod adapter from marketplace sellers because they were cheap and I got what I paid for and returned them. One was defective and the other had poor sound quality.

Many (most? all?) of those cheaper cables aren't shielded, or at least aren't properly shielded. As a result, they can't function at 1080p. The best you can get from them is 1080i, and sometimes not even that. Of course, if there's no EM interference around your cables, you might be able to use them at 1080p. These things are YMWV.

I took a gamble by ordering a pair (full shipping charges applied to each cable, which was $2.98 per cable). With processing time factored in, the cables arrived in 5 working days (after the order was placed).

No issues encountered, in terms of functionality or build quality (one was used for my PS3, the other for an Xbox 360 Elite).
