What DVD (or blu ray) in your collection would you say has the coolest slip cover? Doesnt have to be a good movie...perfect example in my opinion is Max Pane. Great slip cover with the unrated version...kinda terrible movie. Also you can list favorite cases...like I really like my Almost Famous: Untitled Bootleg Cut box. Theres probably a lot more I like in my collection, but ill wait to see what others have to say.

Sorry, there are no cool slipcovers (or O-rings) - they are just space wasters and if you want any of the ones which I have in my closet you can have them for the cost of shipping (look at my collection - link below).

I completely disagree with danwiz. There certainly are some really cool slipcovers. I've got plenty I like, but since I got it in front of me right now, the one for the 2-disc collector's edition of High Noon (1952) is great. The rugged cardboard texture and inverse embossed logos with a golden layer really give it a Western type of quality.

My favorite is one of the only two slipcases that I kept: the Best Buy-exclusive lenticular cover that came with Rob Zombie's Halloween.

I like the Battlestar Galactica Season One HD-DVD slipcover. It's a clear cover which looks like this when on the set: http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/6185/battlestargalacticas1hd.jpg

But Number 6 is on the slipcover so that when you slide it off, it reveals a Cylon centurion underneath.

Watchmen (Blu-ray) lenticular slipcover is awesome. And I always liked the Saw series slipcovers.

to MrFleharty: How do you tell which ones have slipcovers? Well, you could look on Amazon.com or another site which sells DVDs and probably find out that way, no?

since when does amazon give infos about slipcovers!?
better way would be to look up what movies came with one
in the dvdtalk slipsleeve thread.
still, he would he know which first print editions you actually have
that did come with the slipcover!? just because a movie
is suppose to come with one, doesn`t necessarily mean the one
in your collection has one, no?

no. And, I don't care! If you want me to go into the closet and give you a list of all the slipcovers which I have - well, I WILL charge you for that - and more than just postage!! Ha! I convert everything to ThinPaks as quickly as possible, so slipcovers are wasted on me. :)

I like the Dirty Harry "Bullet Hole" transparant slips. Those are awesome. I also like the lenticular Howling...

Ice Age 3 (Blu-ray) - awesome slipcover - love the way they give the characters a "pop out" look.

Over the years, I've thrown away most of the ones that came with my DVDs, but now I kinda wish I hadn't, since I started buying Blu-rays recently, and I've been keeping those.

Anyway, here's my favorite, though the picture doesn't do it justice.
I also love that it comes in a hot pink keep case. -biggrin-

i liked the "monster house" slipcover. that's one of the first one that popped into my mind when i saw this thread. but then now i'm having trouble thinking of any that stand out... guess i'll have to take a look at the old dvd collection before naming a few others

Very unique with the little cardboard wheel changing the slipcover.
