Need Western Movies with lots of cutaways...
Hope you guys can help me!
I need a classic western movie or a few that have plenty of typical cutaway B-roll shots of tumbleweeds and hot sun and desert shots.
I'm editing a wedding where in the ceremony the groom is constantly wiping away sweat on his face, and the couple keeps laughing about it. I'm going to edit the shots together and make a hiilarious blooper montage!
I'll put it on youtube when I'm done and share it with everyone here as a thanks for helping me out!

an enjoyable film, and definitely a western
but it is set in "cow country"
lots of grass, rolling hills, rivers. part of the story happens in the middle of a rain storm
the thread starter wants Sergio Leone style desert
dry heat and sandblasted landscapes

Still going through some movies before sitting down to capture and edit. I do have Lawrence of Arabia and Good Bad and Ugly. Still have to scan through them. Finding a clip here or there. Found something completely classic cartoon-like and absurd in Shakiest Gun in The West, ha!

Re: Need Western Movies with lots of cutaways...
I have enough clips to make it happen, but I'm surprised there weren't as many cutaway shots as I envisioned there would be. Especially with Good, Bad, and Ugly. I was expecting tumbling tumbleweeds in between shootouts.
So I'm left wondering, where does this idea come from? Everyone says it's the classic western or spaghetti western. What film or films popularized that notion?! There was a 1925 movie called tumbleweeds, but I'm not sure if it actually had semi-close ups of tumbleweeds blowing or whatever.

sure the quality isn't that great (they play it in HD on Padallia if you have that
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/G_sBOsh-vyI&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/G_sBOsh-vyI&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
alot of cut aways that you would need (and a kick ass song too
