Briefing to Congress coming shortly. Just a continuation of failed Bush-era policies? Obama turning against his own? Discuss!

If Obama is behind it I'm sure I'll hate it and it will end up destroying the fabric of American society. But continuing a Bush policy, you say? Maybe it's a good thing then.
I'll wait and see what KVRDave or JasonF say before I make up my mind.

From the sounds of it, they had been tracking this guy for a while and he had some meetings over the last 24 hours which made them think it was time to move. So they got a warrant and moved in. Based on what I know, it sounds good to me (sorry, DeputyDave -- I guess that means you're going to have to oppose it).

Was it those right wing extremists again? I'll assume so until I hear more details, because I might be accused of something if I assumed what I am actually assuming.

The only real terrorists left ARE right wing extremists. All others are happy and filled with love now that Obama is in the White House.

However, based upon the history of such raids turning out to be some pinheads with an implausible plan, but the government trumpeting it as a major victory in the War on Terror (http://www.schneier.com/essay-174.html), it's reasonable to view this with skepticism until we get the whole story.
