Obviously if you followed Tree Hill last season, you know about the main changes so I won't go into it again.

New Characters/Series Regulars:

Julian Baker (Austin Nichols): Brooke's boyfriend. Introduced last season

Clayton (Robert Buckley): Nate's agent. You may remember Buckley from Lipstick Jungle last season. This role was originally suppose to go to Brian Austin Green.

Quinn James (Shantel VanSanten): Haley's Sister. Haley has 5 sisters, this sister has never been introduced. You may remember VanSanten from The Final Destination from this summer.

Also, I believe that Lisa Goldstein (Millicent) is now also a series regular.

This should be called One Tree Hill 2.0. Was it just me or did the last season finale feel totally like a series finale?

BTW, don't expect Antwon Tanner (Skills) to be around much this season. He's expected to be sentenced to 1 year in Prison for an Identity Theft Scam.

It depends, you could like at the 5 year jump to season 5 as Version 2.0 as well. However, I would be inclined to think that this is version 2.0 w/ the cast additions and the lead that the show was centered around and his love interest are now gone.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing how Mark Schwahn and his writers keeps the show going.

When i first saw Quinn taking photos I thought it was Rachel looking a little off. Cant wait til we get to see them both on at the same time.

I thought this was a great season opener. I actually thought it was much better than season 5 and 6's openers.

It was fun and light hearted in tone.

The scenes with Mouth and Skills were pretty damn funny.

Shantel VanSanten is really hot. Nice addition to the show. Not surprised at all that they made her single w/ the revelation of her marriage.

Hopefully now with the addition of Julian, Brooke will finally act like a 20-something year old rather than how she acted the last 2 seasons w/ the baby and biological clock nonsense. BTW, they are actually dating in real life.

The scenes w/ Dan were strange.

I liked Buckley as Nate's agent.

Of course Schwahn can't leave well enough alone and has throw in some tension in Haley and Nate's marriage once again. Ah, the life of an NBA player.

Looking forward to this season.

If they have an episode where Brooke, Rachel, Quinn and Haley sit by the pool in bikini's I might just have to marry this show.

Not a fan of the opener at all. I think the new character introductions were sort of botched. They just felt forced upon me and didn't gel into the cast. Quinn is hot but her character so far is dull.

As for the existing characters, except for Dan I think these characters are all too boringly successful. I know that will change, but really... another Nathan infidelity plotline? And the record company takeover story had no impact because they did nothing to set up the character or the situation.

Instead we were left with another "everyone gushes over Jamie" episode. I like the kid, but come on...

Yup, Sophia is dating Austin Nichols. On a few One Tree Hill fan sites, there are alot of pictures of them together off set.

I thought this sucked. Big time. The acting was the worse I have witnessed on the show (and that is really bad). It's as if they were reading the script for the first time.

I am wondering if the success of Gossip Girl has fueled the new money.

Really Guys? I didn't think the acting was bad, at least from the leads (James, Sophia, Joy etc) I thought it was a real nice change of pace from the last 2 season openers. I also thought they incorporated alot of good music into the episode.
