Woody Allen's "Manhattan"

Any chance of a 30th Anniversary reissue of this? Anyone heard anything? I sold my old beat up DVD of it a while back and was thinking about getting it again and noticed it's not available on DeepDiscount and Amazon shows it discontinued.

Wonder if that could portend an SE in the works?

They've been showing HD versions of a lot of his movies on MGM HD so they are probably looking at new versions.

The only flaws would be that not only does Woody avoid including any special features on his DVDs, but according to an EW interview, he doesn't hold Manhattan in the same regard as his fans do.

A blu-ray maybe, but Allen doesn't like looking back on his movies and would probably never do any extra material for his past films. Which is too bad since Annie Hall has about an entire movie's worth of deleted scenes.

Re: Woody Allen's "Manhattan"

I doubt a SE, since Woody's not a fan of extra features.

If anything, I'd like a new release of Annie Hall (anamorphic, at least, if they don't go with a Blu).

Re: Woody Allen's "Manhattan"

I dont buy Allen films on DVD because there are (almost) never any extras. (Match Point import is an exception, for example) I save them for rentals.
